What a great read. I have to say, "My name is Clare and I am a Linda Davenport-aholic" (the main character is Linda D.).... or.... My name is Clare and I'm a Jeanette Fratto-aholic". There! I admitted it.

Phew! That's the first step... admitting I'm dependent now and I have to learn to manage with unfulfilled pining for a fourth book!

I liked the way the main character reached out in an earlier book to an unappealing co-worker who ends up being a bride's maid in this third book.

I liked the way the main character had to deal with an emotionally abusive co-worker in this third book who ends up having a good relationship with her in the end.

I like the way the reader could suspect one person of wrong doing only to find out they had the opposite/good capabilities.

Highly recommend!!

No Deadlier Destiny, Jeannette A. Fratto's third book in the series, was outstanding. The author led me on a hero’s journey through the probation system, mixed it with mystery, suspense, terror, love, and dedication. Threatened and frightened to the core, Davenport refused to let a maniac destroy her life. As the reader, I was thrilled to see the main character pursue her dream and not succumb to the fears of those she loved.

Living in Orange County myself, I was thrilled to read about the many places Davenport frequented. It gave me a feeling of reality while riding the story because reading about the familiar places helped me visualize the story and actually made it real for me!

The author is talented! She has left me wanting to read book #4 which I hope is forthcoming. Jeanette A. Fratto- please don’t disappoint me! You left me wanting more!

Will readers get a "happily ever after" fourth book about Linda?

I liked that I was able to get right back into Linda's story, even though the last book was completed a few years ago. About three chapters before the end, I came to the conclusion that there might still be an opportunity for another book about Linda and her new married life. So, Jeannette, is there one more???

Probation and parole are an essential portion of our justice system that we rarely encounter or think about. Jeanette A. Fratto obviously knows it well. Thank you for sharing this aspect of the penal system, presenting it as the necessary step between the courts or prison and the complete freedom of the guilty, a step in the system that we count on to protect us. I found this a very interesting and informative story tied tightly to a compelling entertainment. No Deadlier Destiny is the third in a series but is completely stand alone. I will be hunting up the first two stories, however, as Linda seems a friend at this point. I hope there will be more to come.

This story is told from the viewpoint of the offices of Probation and Parole in our justice system, in the first person of Linda Davenport. Linda is a soon-to-be-married 31-year-old deputy probation officer in Orange County, California. When her co-employees at probation are approached by their boss Ed about a possible loan of personnel to the ankle unit, overwhelmed with cases monitored on house arrest supervised by the Post Release Community Supervision Program. Linda considers it seriously, as the need for frequent reports to and from the courthouse are not as often required as is her current position, and she wants less stress and more time to prepare for her wedding. Moving to a temporary post with PPCSP seems to be working in her favor. Until one of the cases from her Parole past breaks out and jail, and she is on his list for revenge. Right behind the dead judge... She is going to have to stay out of pocket. And her fiancee, not a member of law enforcement, is not handling the situation at all well. The last thing Linda needs is an ultimatum about her choice of employment on top of the fear already buzzing around her head.
