I've been listening to them since they were called The Dust Brothers (Quadruped, look it up). A few weeks ago, I started playing all their albums again, out of the blue. A week later, I see they have a new one about to drop. I swore after the last one that I had given up on them...but then I read that for this album, they chucked all the modern gear and pulled out what they used to make the first two albums...which are still Golden to this day, and you know it, huh.
I used to manage a record store. I turned so many people on to The Chemical Brothers, I feel like they owe me something...and yet, it was a pleasure to buy this album, even after that last one. It's *such* a good album, friends. I've been playing it almost nonstop for 4 days, and no regrets.
On the albums of theirs that I like (MOST), there's always one track that just brings my funky chicken out-- and yep, hardcore this time. My neck hurts because of what it does to me. I won't even say which one, you can guess. I am totally going to get the vinyl.
HEY AMAZON! 256mbps is barbaric! Shameful in 2019!
If you are on the fence, jump off. So worth it, I'm buying it twice.
