Carter. Pierce. He is a strong, nearly silent type. He is a war survivor and has come home to help run his family farm with his mother. He has healed and dealt with his PTSD, but still keeps people at a comfortable distance. Enter, Summer Lentz. She is a breath of fresh air. She grabs his attention and the wooing begins.
Summer is at Pierce Acres to do an interview for her magazine. She is there for a whole week. A whole entire week of small-town shenanigans. It is so funny, the things all of the characters get up to. Summer is just as taken with Carter as he is with her. They both are in a time in their lives when they believe something happens for a reason. It is clear, she was brought up to Blue Moon Bend for a very good reason.
With the small town antics, the memorable secondary characters, oh Franklin, and the beautiful love between two people, this book has definitely been one of my best of 2016. I can't wait for more from the Pierce brothers and their lady loves.
I can judge my love/interest in a book by my bookmarks on my kindle. The Worst Best Man I must have bookmarked every other page. This book, I think I have a total of 3 bookmarks. The first one being at 72%. To me the author of these two books can NOT be the same. No way. I really can't say this one had much a story line. It was just day to day ... stuff for most of it. With a lot prepping you for the other brothers books that follow.
In this one, the h's "big reveal" was so anti climatic I caught myself frowning and saying ... "What? That's it?".
So sad. Cuz The Worst Best Man was soooo exciting and yummy and action packed and .... on and on. Just perfect. This one was just .. kinda boring. If I have allocated several hours to my favorite down time activity (to read), and I find myself bored and thinking of others things to do, that is NOT a good sign.
So, I liked the story but it was too long! There are many scenes that don't advance the story and could be eliminated to make the story drag less. But you shouldn't let that stop you from reading it because this is a really lovable couple.
I have read the descriptions of the other books in this series. I know it would be unusual but I was really hoping that there would have been a book about Phoebe and Franklin's romance. Why not have a book about an older couple—how and why they fell in love, and the funny predicaments they might have. I think that could be extremely entertaining.
Welcome to the town of Blue Moon Bend, where the ‘60s never went out of style and the gossip tree travels at the speed of light. They may be a bit too much in each others' business, but they always have your back and the sense of community runs deep. This is small-town romance at its finest, where the town and its people take on a life of their own and provide the warm, inviting cornerstone of the story. With a goat who eats the pants off of people, in the most literal sense, and pigs who play fetch as well as any dog, it’s nothing less than enchanting and endearing. Add in loveably flawed characters dealing with real life situations that are equal parts humorous, heartbreaking and inspiring, and it makes for a delightful, entertaining, feel-good read. I loved Carter and Summer's story and will be binge reading the rest. This town and these characters have won my heart, so I’m not nearly ready to say goodbye to them.

Loved this so much I want to move to Blue Moon Bend!! Absolutely recommended read.
The storyline is great, the romance is H.O.T and the cast of supporting characters open the way nicely for a great series.
I’m not going to spoil anything by going into detail about this feel good book. Read the blurb; buy the book. You’ll be glad you did.
Well written, romantic, funny,so sexy and with a wonderful HEA.
Make you think about the important stuff, like living on a farm with a hunky farmer...
Carter Pierce has returned to his family farm in the wonderfully quirky small town of Blue Moon Bend after his tour in Afghanistan with scars, his only goal is recovery.
Blue Moon Bend, where everybody is a matchmaker, Carter wants to be left alone to tend the family farm.
Summer Lentz is a journalist and very much a city girl is sent to interview Carter and his family. She sticks out in the small town, with her designer wardrobe and workaholic lifestyle.
Summer has secrets of her own, that she planned to take to the grave, but as she gets drawn into the crazy Blue Moon Bend community, she starts to realize that she wants more out of life.
Could a farm boy learn to love a city girl?
This book has all the feels and is such a beautifully told story. I fell in love with the characters immediately and was laughing and crying a long with them.
I highly recommend this book
