If you’re interested gaining insight from God’s Word on the tribulation and end time events, ‘No Rapture’ delivers the goods. It investigates theories and sets them alongside Scriptures for careful evaluation. If you honor rightly dividing the Word of God, you will be impressed by the Scriptural integrity that is taken by the author while focusing on this controversial topic. In light of the best intentioned and varied speculations on the ‘End Times’, this book cuts to the heart of what the Scriptures overwhelmingly say. How refreshing to be reminded that God says it like it is!
Contextually the author honors the principle of elevating adherence to God’s precepts as of utmost importance as recorded in Psalm 119 – even if contrary to human views, theories, conclusions, or doctrines. This is one of the most comprehensive collections of Scriptures on the subject of ‘end time tribulation resulting in a climax in human history’ that I’ve read. It brings what we are capable of knowing, as taught in the Holy Scriptures to center-stage for our understanding to be broadened by the truth.
The author puts a crucial question before us, “Do I care more about God’s Truth than my theories? If the conclusions we’ve arrived at, are not Biblical, are we willing to make the adjustment and choose God’s Word above all else?”
The theories of Biblical educators, pale in contrast to The Word of God’s clarity on important global and eternal issues that need to be faced. Christians are not immune to being high-jacked by doctrines that overemphasize or manipulate proof-texts in an attempt to persuade a doctrinal position. Jack Wasson allows us to evaluate theories next to the Biblical text so we might discern for ourselves what the truth is. I liked being challenged and refreshed by what God has to say about the ‘end times’.
Unfounded expectations could hinder the churches readiness for what lies ahead, leaving large numbers of Christians disillusioned and unprepared mentally, emotionally and spiritually for a more intense future than they presently envision. For this reason, along with the benefit of revisiting all the Scriptures that speak about ‘End Time’ matters – this book is an important read for every Christian.
