Aiden is a fighter and he comes out swinging in this book. Pete doesn't believe that Amy is Aiden's child and feels Aiden has once again manipulated poor naive Daisy. Pete wants his daughter away from them both.
Pete, Daisy, and Aiden have epic fights in this book. At times you feel Pete's pain and resentment and understand his actions. He wants what's best for the child he believes is his.
Aiden wants his child to know she has one father, him. Aiden doesn't back down from the many obstacles that come in their lives. He takes the lead as they fight with Pete. He wants Daisy to sit back and let him handle everything, but Daisy isn't having any of that. She will protect her family at any cost. And some times you don't agree with Daisy, but Daisy makes decisions in this book that are the right decisions even though they may hurt her marriage. Her number one concern is Amy's well being, but she also loves her husband. He's spoiled and wants Daisy to take a step back.
Everyone in this book makes a bad decision or two, except for sweet Amy of course. You are given insight into other characters. Pete's family, Daisy's family, and the late Donovan's mistress and troubled daughter. These characters are intertwined and facilitate several who done it moments when tragedy strikes Aiden, Daisy and Amy.
This book was an good read because it allowed us as readers to have a conclusion to Daisy and Aiden's story. It has many twists and turns and continues the steamy sex and connection between Aiden and Daisy that we've come to rely on.
Conclusion to the paternity of Amy.
Pete is understood better. I didn't hate him as much.
Aiden is just as sexy and as alpha as ever.
Daisy tells Aiden how it is and makes decisions.
Sex scenes are great.
Aiden isn't hiding anything anymore. He has Daisy and Amy now.
Additional characters make this one a mystery, in a good way.
You knew Aiden and Daisy weren't going anywhere. Their love was solid. Oh, there was turmoil, but their foundation was good.
Aiden's love of Amy is so sweet.
A few typos, more than average for this author, which was odd. However, it's still well written.
It was a good book but its hard to top the first two, which were 5 stars.
I am gonna start with Pete. It was so crazy to me that common sense and clarity did not come to him before he made the whole situation as public and messy as it became. I honestly blame him for things getting out of hand. Yes we all know Aiden is creative. Lol. Well he's beyond creative. We all know he has money and power to make things happen. But a simple do over test could have prevented the devastation they all went through in this book. I could see Pete not believing the second test results and I agreed with Daisy when she says she should have just been upfront from the beginning and they could have avoided the entire fiasco, but Pete's stubbornness caused the mess, and I did not like how everyone including Daisy at some point was willing to blame Aiden for the mess. Pete was being an ass. The easiest and quickest way to dispel Aidens accusation was to prove him wrong by TAKING ANOTHER DNA TEST! But no, all Pete could see was his anger and hate towards Aiden. I was shocked when he went along with his uncle by calling CPS on Aiden and Daisy. Pete knew that they both were great parents but so blinded by his rage and jealousy over the bond Aiden have with Amy he did nasty things to get his way. It finally proved what Aiden was saying from the first book. Pete was no freaking hero. He was human. One that I didn't like much by the end of the book. I still felt cheated that Aiden didn't get an apology or at least to gloat in Petie boys face. I was that frustrated and pissed at Pete.
Daisy as usual suffers the most. It's like she has to keep paying for her actions in Aidens game. The woman has come a long way. She's finally happy with her life, but Aiden seems to be the only one to want to keep it that way. Besides all the jealous former lovers of Aidens she has to deal with, she also has to worry about how the press is portraying her. I mean the woman can't catch a break. I liked that Aiden tells her right away the truth of Amy's paternity. I didn't like her reaction to sooth Petie boys feeling on the situation. She should have sat him down right away and told him. Pete didn't give a shoot about Aiden when the test was in his favor. But from the time they got to her mothers house she handled everything wrong. I did love that she finally stood up for her husband and choices when everyone condemned Aiden for telling the truth about Amy. But her not seeing the truth about how far Pete was willing to go to hold on to Amy was crazy. It's funny how Aiden expected it though. I was finally happy when she started fighting back and stop taking everyone's crap about her life.
Aiden is such a flawed character that its hard not to hate his actions sometime, but in this book I felt like the man was justified on all levels. Even his reaction to Andria. I am not saying he was right, I am just saying he was pushed too far and this time you couldn't blame him. He sat and watch his wife try to get on track with her family even though they kept hurting her. He watch a man he knew hated him, one who gloated when the first false test was done on Amy, watched and listen to this man complain about his bond with his daughter. Aiden did try to keep his cool, you have to give him that. He tried to do things his wife way, but they all had to go bring the demon out of him. This man will fight every time he has to. I was sorry that no one wanted to see the truth behind Amy's paternity. It was so sad when Daisy finally had to realize that her family will see what they want and Aiden was right to react the way he did. I love how Daisy is the balm to all of his wounds and how she just gets the man like no one else can.
I think I've written tooooo much with sooooo much still left to say... You just got to read the series to understand. I loved it from the first book to this last one epilogue. Keep up the excellent work Ms Mynx.
Aiden and Daisy are hot together.
I did find Daisy a little indecisive, but I loved the character nevertheless. She loved her man! She wanted so badly to be normal for her mother and sisters, but how could she with a man like Aiden.
The unfinished history between she and Pete is so real, because what they had was also deep.
Aiden was the man!
This is a 5 star book - a good conclusion, more than 200 pages, hot scenes, and a riveting storyline. All flaws can be overlooked, because it is a good read.
Thank you, Ms. Mynx - can't wait for more from this author.
