This is the last book in the No Shame series. It finishes the story of Indy and Noah, Josh and Connor, and Miles, Brad, and Charlie. With a short visit from Aaron and Blake.
After the events of No Fear, Josh returns from his stint in the mental hospital and Connor returns after his supposed undercover work in Boston. Both of them responsible for killing the man who had put a contract out on Indy.
Miles, the FBI agent assigned to protect Indy, was seriously hurt and is recovering. Miles suffers from a condition that causes him to need constant sexual relief. Brad has a severe need to be needed and uses Miles condition to get close to him. Charley, recovering from the last beating his boyfriend gave him has been in love with Brad for a long time. He is drawn to both men and wants them both.
All these men wind up living in the same house.
Josh, although he loves Connor, still needs Indy. Their relationship is as much about need as love. Connor struggles with this knowledge, wondering if he will be enough for Josh. Noah knows Indy needs Josh and is ok with that.
The various pairings are at times heartbreaking and exhilarating. Each person has their own specific needs and wants, which I see as the theme of this book.
There are pairings outside of each main relationships but this is not cheating.
I'm sorry to see this series end, I think the author has enough story left with these men for another book.
I have witnessed the growth of each of her characters. I have laughed, cried, and rejoiced with them all!
Indy, Noah, Josh and Connor' s relationship is a one that can’t be labeled and shouldn't be! The powerful dynamite of their family is such a beautiful thing. I admire the way Nora wrote their story!
Blake and Arron's relationship was just as inspiring and was written with such love and admiration for the needs that they both had! It was hard for me not to feel the powerful connection between these two.
Then Nora brought us the beautiful trio of Brad, Charlie, and Miles. To complete this amazing and incredible family of men! These three men brought each other what no others could. It was heartbreaking, a learning process, as well as an understanding for me!
Nora, I want to thank you for bringing these remarkable men into my life. I have cherished all the love and devotion that you gave to each and every one of them.
i also got to see more of the previous couples; Indy and Noah, Josh and Connor
Aaron and Blake. I so enjoyed seeing the growth in their relationships and feeling their connection was stronger than ever. Reading this book was a soul touching experience as i watched these men connect and discover each others uniqueness and find acceptance and love.
I strongly recommend that you read this book as part of the series because your experience will be so much richer. As a reader you will spend time with each of these couples in their books and you will gain an appreciation and love for them. If you only read this one story, you will miss out on so many nuances and the whole backstory, which is really pretty amazing reading.
Warning: if for some reason you are uncomfortable with more than 2 men together, than this is not the book for you!
I'm so happy that all the boys finally are happy and togetherr and all this started with Indy meeting Josh in the store during a robbery.
Indy, Noah, Josh and Connor are so close now and I have to admit I kind of hoped for a little something between Noah and Connor now when they all are sleeping in one bed.
The new additions of Miles, Brad and Charlie in the house is great and they all need to be accepted for their preferences and who they are and with Miles condition, Brads shame for what he wants an Charlie recovering from years of abuse they have found the perfect place to heal.
And even if they don't live in the house Aaron is just a precious puppy and fits perfectly Blake and they finally have a close bond of friendship and family with the others,.
I love this series and the message that you shouldn't feel shame for who you are and what you need.
This book focuses on Miles,Brad and Charlie. You still get major check ins from previous characters as well. The mmm component works great in this book and you really get to see how they all fit together. Miles with his condition,Charlie with his past relationship conflict, and Brad's insecurities all make this a very realistic relationship portrayal. Plus, as you may suspect, there are some really HOT scenes!! It is a Nora Phoenix book after all.
I truly loved all these characters and am sad it is the last one in the series.
Hopefully, we get a novella to see how these guys are in the future!
