Larry and Jayne both suffer from their body. Jayne has a very noticeable birthmark while Larry's body is shutting down on him. Jayne works at the gym Larry uses to try to become strong before his body caves on him. Larrys friends are not afraid to bully Jayne and one day Larry had enough.
They get to know each other better and support one another to the point of extracting revenge on his friends.
I wish there was a more in depth story of what happened to the friends after, it felt a bit rushed. The ending just blew me away.
I absolutely love this author.
Loved this well written story. Truly wish this one was a little longer. Would have love to seen just how far they had gone.
My heart hurt for Jayne and Larry as I got more and more into the story. Their "plan" intrigued me. I wanted them to get their revenge on those people who were constantly beating them down. They needed to be taught a lesson in humility. I was so happy that Jayne and Larry had found each other and were able to live together with no excuses, no regrets, no shame. The ending blindsided me a bit and had my jaw on the floor! What a fabulous story with Karma as the master!
I thought that the subject matter of this was great. These aren't things that you often see in books so I liked that these were discussed. At first the jumping POVs threw me a little but I ended up liking it. It was different. The book sure took a turn toward the end. It was oddly satisfying but also disturbing. I do wish e had seen more of that part.
The very end was really good. Things sort of came full circle. It was odd reading Larry and Jayne's vies on other people. I've lived with a serious illness all my life so I was more in tune with their thoughts on things. So I didn't think the way the think most people do. I don't know if I'm making sense, you'll just have to read the book to see.
I did also wish that we got to see more of Larry and Jayne's relationship developing.
It took me longer than I thought to read it but that was because these last few days were far busier than I thought. For a quick, good, different read I'd say pick this up. I will also definitely be picking up more Erin Lee books in the future.
