The shocker to me was the originals. While I like Michael's past originals, they have always been slightly cheesy. This is the first album I feel that the originals are strong. The title song feels like a Bublé swing song but with a groovy hip hop beat. The rapper on the song was actually a refreshing surprise. I am not a huge rap fan but the rap was well written and was not overdone and really added to the song in a fun positive way. "I Believe in You" is a hopeful and beautiful song, the duet with Meghan was cute but not corny, Today is Yesterday's tomorrow was fun. I actually felt one of the bonus tracks, "Take You Away" was one of the strongest originals on the album. It is a retro"ish" song with a pop sound and a relatable sentiment that every woman has thought about. In this reviewers mind, it should be his follow up single.
This album has now been bumped up to my favorite Bublé album...tied with the Christmas record of course. It seems like he is finally pushing himself a bit more with the originals and I strongly recommend this album. Enjoy!
His young son has been found to have some form of cancer, and all reports on Michael and his son have gone silent. Keeping his family in my thoughts, and hope that things improve and Michael can return to entertaining.
