"4 ¿ stars, Top Pick! Nothing short of amazing! The lively characters will find a place in your heart right away and stay there."―RT Book Reviews
"If you haven't read Jill's newest Cedar Ridge series, featuring the fabulously sexy Kincaid brothers, you need to. ...It makes for seriously compelling reading. The series also features drop-dead-sexy, capable and badass brothers who live wildly and love deeply and sassy, strong and amazing women you'll want to be best friends with. ...[NOBODY BUT YOU] has some emotionally intense and bittersweet moments, but it's funny, clever, erotic and achingly sweet. It's a wild ride from start to finish, and it's a brilliant ride."―The Book Den
"Ms. Shalvis not only developed amazing characters with steaming chemistry, but she brought the town to life."―Once Upon an Alpha
"I never thought I'd love a Jill Shalvis series other than my First Jill Shalvis Series, Lucky Harbor. But I am falling in love all over again. Maybe it's Cedar Ridge itself - sort of reminds me of Robyn Carr's town of Virgin River, or maybe it's the Kincaid brothers, but either way Shalvis has me hooked."―Random Book Muses
"Nobody But You is a sweet, sexy read with oodles of personality. I laughed and giggled my whole way through this. Along with the laughter was a heartwarming story ...a must read for fans of contemporary romance. Five stars."―Relentless Romance
"Nobody But You by Jill Shalvis was a fantastic book. ...This book was probably the most heart-wrenching one for me in this series, but at the same time it was also my favorite. Shalvis' humor and wit were shown throughout the story. Her style sucks you in and keeps you turning page after page."―Romance Reviews and More
"Fall in love with Jill Shalvis! She's my go-to read for humor and heart."―Susan Mallery, New York Times bestselling author
"Sassy, funny, and down-to-earth sexy, this lively romance is one readers won't be able to resist. A hands-down winner and a terrific launch to the author's latest series."―Library Journal on Second Chance Summer, starred review

The heroine is out of a nasty divorce and temping in a resort town, but living on her ex husband's boat despite being horribly sea sick.
The hero is the classic Shalvis Alpha Male, but in the name of expediency, she seems to skip the part of the story where he gets in touch with his feelings and goes straight to being open to a major relationship, despite just returning from a painful tour of duty.
I don't think this is typical Shalvis writing - her Animal Magnetism and Lucky Harbor books have wonderful character development and fun plots. This series feels rushed and unfinished, like she could have written three more books to make sense of the great setting she created and the giant family and community she gave herself to work with, but the story seems to have gotten out of her grasp.
I'm hoping the next series is better.
Jacob is one of the Kincaid twins. His is his brother & they were extremely tight up until Jacob leaves after he graduates high school. He didn't feel like he belonged. Hud & Jacob had a fight before Jacob left & they haven't talked since. His feels like Jacob abandoned him & their mother. His doesn't realize Jacob stayed in touch with his mother & has even visited her. Jacob is on leave from the service after the death of a man he considered a second brother. He wants to make amends with his family & decide whether he can come back for good or not.
Sophie is a recently divorced young woman who mistakes Jacob for Lake Patrol when she first meets him. She is living on the sailboat she won in the divorce settlement from her ex. She seems to be a real klutz .
I love the Cedar Ridge series but LOVE LOVE LOVE Jacob & Sophie. She's trying so hard not to trust anyone but herself & stay aloof. I can just see the expression on her face when she sees Jacob. Total mastery of emotions by Jill! Only problem I have is, it's so long before another one!
Sophie is divorced from her cheating jerk of a husband, and took nothing from him but his most beloved possession - his boat. Possibly not the greatest idea, since she has no sea legs at all, and the motion sickness is violent and frequent. Because she refused to take the ex for anything else in the divorce, she is flat broke, unemployed (again due to the scumbag ex), and has nowhere to moor her boat (which she hates).
I'll admit that I didn't go into this book with good thoughts. I was angry at Jacob for how he behaved with Hud. But as always, Jill Shalvis writes characters and stories that you cannot help but love! Jacob is so wracked with guilt over how he left ten years previously, the fact that he never got in contact with his brother, and the loss of his best friend in Afghanistan. Sophie too has her own trust issues after her treatment by her ex husband, as well as her father's depression. It was beautiful to see these two come together and find love. It was also gloriously enjoyable to spend time with the whole Kincaid clan, who are full of love and hilarity.
You are never left disappointed with a Jill Shalvis book. No one writes contemporary romances like her (in my humble opinion, of course). Filled with love, laughter, heartwarming moments, and moments of heartbreak, the whole Cedar Ridge series is one not to miss.
Jacob is active military on bereavement leave. Sophie is a fighter but feeling a bit blue after a not-so-happy childhood combined with a not-so-happy marriage that ended in divorce. But hey...she got the boat.
These two come together with that wonderful magic that flows from Jill's fingers. You are going to laugh, probably slap your forehead....but overall, you are going to love this book.
