When a young girl, full of enthusiasm, who wants the attention of those she loves most feels rejected, her Mommy shows her how to see things in a different light. ‘Nobody Likes Me’ is a story inspired by a real day in the life of a feisty young girl who has been overlooked one time too many and is feeling rejected. It is also about her sympathetic mother who does her best to help the child see things in a different light. I think we can all relate to not being paid the full amount of attention we want or perhaps even need, but may sometimes not realize how much we are cared for by others. I hope you will all enjoy the relatable story, happy ending, and charming illustrations!

Synopsis: Dekel's book is about a little girl who feels that no one likes her. No one will give her the time of day or pay any attention to her. When she tries to show her dance moves to her mommy, she is busy. When she shows her painting to her teacher, she doesn't pay attention to her. When she wants to play a game with her friends, they say that she has to wait her turn. Because of these experiences, and others, she felt so alone and unloved. Will her Mom and Dad be able to convince her that she is indeed loved by everyone?
