The author's storyline was an amazing work of keeping all the moving parts and pieces together. There were many twists and turns and at one point resulted in an out loud gasp from me. The characters were so well-developed. Talk about the epitome of antagonists! We were given two of the worst people that got my heart racing every time they appeared.
This is a book that's hard to put down once you start but you won't be disappointed I can guarantee you. Enjoy!
(Note: I was provided an Advanced Review Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.)
I liked that book had darkness and BDSM play, but sex clubs were really poorly portrayed. What was with all that unprotected sex?! I understand this is a book, but still it was on border of being disgusting.
Penn Black seemed like a really interesting character and I wouldn't mind reading his story. That plot twist about his sister was a nice surprise. But again, I have to comment on his reaction about his sister’s killer. He prepared a cabin to kill her killer, and then after barely any confrontation just let everything go with some poor threat about going to the police. That was just disappointing!
In the end, Sofia and Ivo finally get their HEA. And after reading about Sofia's excuses why she wouldn't be a good mother and why she doesn't want kids, which again didn't make much sense, I was glad about the baby in the epilogue.
Overall, after weighing likes and dislikes, there were just too many things that bothered me to like this book better.
Oh and please hire an editor!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
The BDSM story line was a good one to add in, but a little wasted since it kinda only used for fillers like a LOT OF the sex scenes. Was a bit too much and didn't add to the story line so I started skipping it.
The characters could have been more fleshed out to make the story more compelling as well.
