15mm slim design
Having a thickness of only 15mm, the NF-A12x15 is much slimmer than standard 120x25mm fans. This makes it ideal for typical slim fan applications such as low-profile CPU coolers as well as for freeing up space by replacing standard 120x25mm fans on tower coolers, radiators or in PC cases.

However, the total package here is inferior to the standard brown version, despite costing more. The brown version includes a 20cm cable length + 30cm extension, low noise adapter, Y splitter cable, rubber mounting pads, and a silicone mounting option.
This chromax.black version is a 1cm cable with the 30cm extension, rubber pads in a variety of colors, and none of the other accessories. Noctua support told me it's more expensive due to the black coloring and the inclusion of the pads in 6 colors. I'd personally rather have other accessories.
The 1cm cable is a problem because it's about 1cm of cable with a plastic connector on the end. It's so short that you'll 100% need to use the extension cable for it to reach your motherboard. Which results in a "wart" right next to your fan. And you're conceivably buying a slim fan because space is an issue, which makes this bulky connector difficult to work around.

One odd thing about these fans are the rubber mounts. First off, you actually get all 8 of each color rather than 4 like the other chromax fans. They're also only held in by a thin layer of glue, kind of like tape or a sticker. Not so little glue that I think they're going to fall off, and not too much to where I don't think I'd be able to replace them. Just the perfect amount of adhesive it seems.
Overall I'm completely satisfied with these, and can't wait for the release of the Chromax nf-a12x25!

I've been waiting a while for these, glad they finally came out! I have a raijintek morpheus ii heatsink on my vertically mounted GPU, so it takes up 4 slots with regular case fans. I really wanted something slimmer to allow more space between my GPU and glass. Well these are perfect. They're slim, look good, move a good bit of air, and are inaudible at about half speed.
