Conceived for industrial heavy duty applications that require enhanced cooling performance and advanced ingress protection, the NF-F12 industrialPPC (Protected Performance Cooling) is a ruggedised high-speed version of the award-winning retail model. Thanks to the outstanding aerodynamic efficiency of the NF-F12 design and the use of a novel three-phase motor, the industrialPPC version provides superior airflow and pressure capacity while keeping noise levels and power consumption moderate as against comparable high-speed fans. While its fibre-glass reinforced polyamide construction and certified water and dust protection make the NF-F12 industrialPPC suitable for operation in challenging environments, the renowned SSO2 bearing technology assures an MTBF of over 150.000hrs. Topped off with Noctua’s trusted reliability, the NF-F12 industrialPPC is an ideal choice for highly demanding applications that require superior flow rates and ultimate dependability.
Award-winning NF-F12 design
Having received more than 150 awards and recommendations from the international press, Noctua's NF-F12 has become a proven premium choice for 120mm cooling needs. Its renowned efficiency has convinced tens of thousands of customers all over the world.
2000rpm industrialPPC version
Thanks to its elevated 2000rpm top speed, the NF-F12 industrialPPC-2000 provides a significant performance boost over the 1500rpm retail version. Combined with the industrialPPC series' robust polyamide construction and advanced protection features, this makes the fan ideal for challenging industrial applications.
Fibre-glass reinforced polyamide construction
Both the impeller and the frame of Noctua’s industrialPPC fans are made entirely from fibre-glass reinforced polyamide. This material can withstand temperatures up to 140°C and makes the fans even more robust and break-proof than Noctua’s standard fibre-glass reinforced PBT fans.
Certified IP52 water- and dust protection
Thanks to a special varnish coating that covers the motor and PCB, the NF-F12 industrialPPC complies with the ingress protection rating IP52. This means that it is not only highly dust resistant but also withstands dripping water equivalent to 3mm rainfall per minute.
Three-phase motor design
While most axial fans use single-phase motors with 4 slots, Noctua's industrialPPC fans feature a three-phase design with 6 slots, which provides smoother transitions between the slots and thus allows for even higher running smoothness, further reduced vibrations and unprecedented energy efficiency.
The industrialPPC models are high-speed fans for industrial applications. As such, they are not as quiet as other Noctua fans and less suited for low-noise PC builds. Unless you specifically require the higher speeds and performance of the industrialPPC versions, we recommend using models of our other product lines.

So why is this such a good fan? It's in Chromax Black and 2000 RPM is a cut above in power and speed amongst most other 120 mm fans. It's surprisingly hard to find a 120 mm fan that goes faster than 1500 RPM: and it's also a Noctua fan.
What I don't like. Noctua is a little bizarre because they come off as a company that makes good fans and throws every other consideration out the window. Their leadership must be color blind because finding Noctua products in Chromax black or white was a point of stress in my PC build I didn’t expect. Color-matching isn’t the most important thing in a PC build but when 90% of your build looks good but something is off because of a Noctua fan or vibration pads…yeah, no thanks. I eventually got the color scheme I wanted, after spending over $60 and 3-weeks shopping for black and white compatible vibration pads, extra fans, and fan splitters.
Secondly, I honestly don’t know what’s Noctua’s latest and greatest nor what colors those come in. I feel like most consumers have the mentality of, “It’s a Noctua fan, that’s all I need to know” but Noctua releases new products with better airflow, different designs, speeds, and *shocker* in actual different colors. I think some of these models are almost 10 years old and sure, they’re great but shouldn’t they be phased out or replaced at this point?
Lastly, even though Noctua packages their products well, they also include a bunch of useless stuff I don’t use. There was a “quiet operation” fan plug that came with my Noctua CPU cooler I could care less for and an overload of yellow, blue, and green vibration pads that basically don’t go with most PC color schemes…like all those original Noctua fans.
These fans are good, I’m not doubting that but Noctua needs to clearly communicate when they come out with new PC case fans and CPU coolers and what colors those come in and (in cases where a fan splitter is obviously needed like my CPU cooler) include more useful items in their packaging instead of 40 extra vibration pads I’m not going to use, in colors only a circus clown would agree with. I’m not exaggerating, a had a whole Noctua’s box worth of extra vibration pads I threw in the garbage when my PC’s fan setup was complete. Also, Noctua clearly doesn’t care for RGB lighting which might be a deal-breaker for some, it’s no big deal for me.
I had ordered two of the PWM fans and only received one and the second was not. So, if you order these fans and sure you inspect the label on the box before you spend the time tearing your PC apart only to discover it's the wrong fan uppon uninstall. For the amount of money these fans cost, you would think quality control would be a little more stringent.
You can literally feel the quality difference when you hold these vs other fans and you can definitely tell that a lot of engineering and research went into these. The also come with rubber, anti vibration pads which can also be purchased separately in alternate colors.
Now then, are these something I would recommend to the average Joe bag of donuts that needs to replace a fan that went dead in the living room PC. Not really, these are high speed capable, static pressure fans for water cooling radiators or high fin density heat sinks.
Full speed they are LOUD. These are 2k rpm fans after all. However at low speeds during normal, low load operation/everyday use, they are nearly inaudible if not for a faint motor hum which is something you’d need to be inches from your PC to actually hear.
I’d argue to say that most users searching specifically for these fans know what they’re looking for and getting themselves into. Especially because these are optimized for static pressure and likely will be used for mounting to a radiator.
All this being said, Noctua has many different fans available for pretty much any purpose. Whether it’s airflow optimization, static pressure, balance of both, or something that balances silence and airflow. They pretty much have an option for whatever one may need, IF you can look past some of the color choices. Looking at you, brown/cream color scheme.
All in all, 5/5 from me. Yes they can be loud at full speed, but these aren’t exactly the fans you search for if complete silence is your focus.

-i7-4770K OC @ 4.1Ghz, 16TB RAM, GTX960 2GB (don't even remember which card i had when used this fan...it's al blurry, and i have tried too many GPUs. lol, -HP W2558HC and BenQ XL2411Z monitors.
P.S. Reporting on 2020-April; the Eagle has landed in the trash, but it's dead. I didn't even get to use it for more than six months. I switched back to using old Corsair's default radiator FAN for H80, and this fan was just sitting around--in a box. Maybe that's why it is dead now. There goes my money in the gutter.
Fits in nicely. Love the anti jiggle corners. Just a breeze for everything.
Really like the color scheme.
only comes with the one connection. Which is quite long.
Totalmente silenciosos inclusive a las 2000rpm que es su máximo.
Incluyen "pads" antivibración en cada esquina para que las vibraciones del abanico no sean transferidas al gabinete.
Apenas y se puede decir si la PC esta encendida.
Just found it was a little noisier and not as effective as i hoped for my AIO. Went with the A12 and it was much better.
