The Noctua NF-P14s redux-1500 PWM is an absolute must-have for any computer enthusiast. I personally found it to be incredibly useful in my own build. Very quiet, yet powerful fans.

The only thing keeping me from giving full stars is the ridiculously short power cables. They are maybe half as long as the ones on my Corsair fans. I also kinda wish they came with blue LED lights, but that's not as important. I was able to get the cables to just barely reach the fan headers on my MSI Z590 Pro motherboard after I installed one of the fans in the back and one in the ceiling of my Phanteks Enthoo Pro case. I moved my blue lit fans around so that they alternate with the unlit fans. Now the inside of the case is still lit up, but not as bright. More importantly though, my Core i5 CPU stays about 10 to 20 degrees cooler than it was with all Corsair fans. I like how Corsairs look, but I have to admit that Noctua fans are much more powerful.

I've had a handful of fans and these Redux fans are my go to for many builds for good performance and long life expectancy for the value.

It should be obvious that they don't come with anti vibration pads which is not really a big deal in my experience of building PCs.

ALL fans are going to loud running at 1500rpm. Don't complain they loud if you run them at full speed all the time. With that said, at 35 to 40% they are practically silent and still move a fair amount of air in some restriction. These are quieter than the 1700 rpm 120mm version.

I put one of these in the front of my micro case and it draws a ton of air in. It blows other no-name brand fans out of the water. You can feel the air moving a few inches away in front of the case and that is without making angry fan noises (like the no-name brand fans). If you don't care about the anti-vibrations corners and RGB lights, these are the fans for you!

Purchased three of these fans to replace the three in my stock Corsair 700D case. They are light years better in the sound department being super quiet. Air flow seems the same but i was more worried about the sound seeing how the tower is right next to my face on the desk. Easy to install and quiet as a mouse. High quality fans, replaced the Akasa Viper fans i was using, on my radiator i had 4x Vipers on push pull, after 9 months 3 of the vipers had died, seriously a joke.

Anyway switched to these bad boys and they're great. I went with nust the 2 on the front mounted rad and the temps were basically same, very quiet at 50% compared to the vipers.

Can't take any photos of them fitted as they're kinda hidden, but they look nice and as per product photo.

There is one eco complaint ill make though. The fan is sat in a cheap bit of plastic in the box...one could easily switch that to an unbleached bit of recycled card and help save the planet.

Well built, but simply not value for money, some weird penny-pinching decisions were made. This is my first (and maybe last) Noctua fan. I wanted to see what the hype was all about, I'd never normally spend this on a single standard size and power fan but I really wanted to experience the hype. I noticed that they sold an range of coloured rubber dampeners for the corners but - I'll be quite honest and say - I simply didn't realise this premium priced fan, aimed specifically at people who want quiet efficiency, comes with NO rubber corner vibration dampeners, just an ugly moulded rebate where they should fit. I assumed that you would had the option to buy custom colours to suit your setup and that it could come with a standard boring colour, but no, it comes with nothing. It even 'looks' like something is missing. I can't wrap my head around the failure to include ANYTHING for the corners given the quiet efficiency is the whole raison d'etre for the Noctua brand in most enthusiasts eyes. As a result I am just left with a bad taste and feel cheaped-out on from a premium brand. It's just not value for money.

Absolutely beautiful fans, great airflow and relatively silent (the small negligible noise they make isn't even bothering me) at 1000 rpm (60%) at 1500 rpm (100%) you will need to put on your headphones or turn up the volume of the system, but the airflow is absolutely astonishing even at 1000. If you plan on putting these fans in a Fractal Design Define R5 on the front, you WILL require longer screws than the ones that came with the case. You can buy these for £2.56 and they fit great, Bolt Base 3mm A2 Stainless Steel Pozi Countersunk Machine Screws Posi Csk Screw DIN 965 M3 x 35 - 20 . You could try with 30mm instead of 35mm as it might not allow for the installation of the HDD cages. If you're using it anywhere else in the case, the supplied screws should be sufficient.

Yes, as some of the other reviews are stating, these are not absolutely the quietest fans you can but. They are of course going to be louder than a 120 mm fan. It's a 140 mm fan moving a lot more air... that's the whole point. There are undoubtedly some other 140 mm fans that will be quieter too; if you want cooling performance as good as this but with a bit less noise, you probably want to look at either an NF-A14 or NF-A15 depending on what you're using it for (NF-A14 for case fans, NF-A15 for coolers, but they're exactly the same performance specs in a differently shaped plastic frame). The A14/15 is both slightly more effective cooling and slightly quieter because it's basically the flagship 140 mm fan Noctua does just now and the redux is last-gen tech by definition.

NF-P14r redux:

NF-A15 HS-PWM:

I've been using one of these as a case exhaust fan for years and recently switched it into the middle of my D14 cooler, replacing the NF-P14 FLX I had previously put there, and it slightly increased noise but noticeable improved my CPU temperatures both under load and at idle. I added a second one, replacing the stock P12 120 mm fan at the front of the cooler, and the same thing happened again, as expected.

I've been buying Noctua stuff ever since the company first appeared back in 2005. Every fan I've switched or added into every system I've built (for myself and for others) for the past 15+ years has been some Noctua or another. I've also found their thermal paste to be very good. I have the distinct impression that this is a case of more or less getting what you pay for; if you want super-premium, buy their latest stuff. If you want *almost* the same kind of performance at the cost of slightly increased noise and a fairly significantly reduced price (and arguably slightly less pleasant aesthetics with this light grey colour scheme), buy a redux. That's pretty much all it comes down to.

I wanted new case fans. Something that was pretty quiet but also had a good flow rate.

Overall, I was quite disappointed with these Noctua fans (given their reputation). I bought 4 of them, 2 of which produced an annoying whining sound (Not sure whether I just got 2 faulty batches) and the other 2 I didn't think were all that quiet when configured (PWM) - quite a bit of motor noise sitting about a meter away from my system. The ones I took out were surprisingly much quieter, and they were only some basic Fractal fans.

I will say, their performance for moving air was good, but I can't be listening to an annoying whining sound virtually all day.

I have returned them and will be looking elsewhere unfortuately.
