I own three of these units. They rock: thermals on the systems never go above "LOW" and heatsink fins aren't even warm to the touch. I'm using them in a pair of 4U servers. The network equipment in the racks is louder than those servers by a considerable margin.
The only downside to the design of the NF-B9 is that it is large enough to overhang nearby slots on the motherboard. For example, the NF-B9 blocks the only PCIe x16 slot on a particular board I use (didn't need it anyway). On other board layouts, the NF-B9 may block a RAM slot or two (though this should be fairly uncommon) so make sure to measure first.
One last comment: as the server world obsesses on higher rack densities, 4U and 3U rackmount chassis are leaving the mainstream. Designs like this may be relegated to workstations in the future.
