The latest edition of the world-renowned Noise series is a compendium of concepts that defies commercial and production realities and also tells the entire story of ATTIK. NoiseFive is a creative collaboration between ATTIK's UK, San Francisco and Santa Monica studios. Self-published with a limited run of only 3,000 copies, the result is a visual feast of experimental designs and intensive print techniques. It showcases over 250 pages of exciting print design on 9 unique paper stocks, utilizing over 40 print finishes, including rub and reveal heat sensitive inks, hot foils, scratch off inks, matte laminates and hi-build gloss varnishes. Self-publishing has allowed ATTIK to retain the integrity of what Noise stands for. Moreover, no publisher would go near a book of this nature, because the high production levels make it a commercial impossibility.

With Noise 5 though, [and after almost 10 years!] they are back with an amazing new publication, worthy of any of the previous editions. The range of paper, varnishes, special inks and finishes are beyond anything they've done before. And this edition includes a nice retrospective of the company's history, which is actually an inspiring and sometimes funny read.
So overall, a must-buy for any designers looking for inspiration, or just for lovers of great design as art.
