A satirical look at art and fame in a world of eccentric characters brought together by their passion for using trash and everyday objects to create live "noise" to adoring audiences. This mockumentary follows the lives of a professional noise artist, an abstract painter, a social agitator and a recording engineer who form the band "Shame On You".

I don't use that word lightly but this little movie is a brilliant exercise in social absurdity and cleverness. It looks at the warped reality of contemporary hip culture without passing judgement on it. I'm a mockumentary connoisseur and I must confess I was fed up with the genera until I ran across this. I agree with other reviewers when they say that this movie belongs right up there with This Is Spinal Tap and Waiting for Guffman with the exception that IMO Noise Matters deals with a more troubling subject.
Highly entertaining, intelligent, touching and funny...this movie had me engaged from start to finish. I really don't doubt that this has the makings of a classic along the lines of Christopher Guest's mockumentaries. I am definitely going to recommend this movie to friends and put it on the list for movie night!
Proof that one man's trash is another mans treasure! "Noise Matters" touches on an array of hot topics with satire & some very clever, funny moments. The film reminds us that sometimes music is just noise but all noise can be heard as music.
