This product should not be advertised as a non slip futon grip pad. It is very misleading. It is not worth the cost at all. As another reviewer wrote, you can find the same thing at the dollar store. I should have went with that review and not have boughten it. Also, if you want to buy this for your futon you need to consider what type of futon frame and mattress you have. I have a wooden frame and the thickest mattress you can buy. The matress is made of a wide corded corduroy. This product did not work at all on my futon. It is so thin, and not very big. I kept it and put it between by mattress and box spring to prevent my mattress from moving across the box spring. It works for that ok because the the grip pad is not trying to hold something from slipping down just keeping the mattress from sliding across.
I went to my local home improvement store and bought 2 heavy duty grip pads that are made for rugs on a wooden floor. They are bigger and much thicker. The 2 of them work great and keep my futon mattress from sliding down. Sometimes when I read a negative review I decide I will try the product anyway. Until I bought this item I was always right to go with my instinct. Please believe me when I say, don't ignore the negative reviews on this product. I thinking if you have a thin mattress it would work fine but, again, you absolutely can get this same pad at Wal-mart or the dollar store for alot less money. It really is not worth what they charge.

I am disappointed that I did not come up with the idea to sell shelf-liner at an increased cost, charge shipping, and call it a futon grip. And I am even more disappointed that I just purchased this item without my usual research. I would have then realized that I could've just gone to Walmart, purchased a roll or two of shelf-liner for lots cheaper, saved on shipping costs, and put it under my futon a week or so ago. Upon arriving, the label on the package says, "Thick Grip Liner" and it pictures it lining a basket holding some lemons. -T.Borland's Wife

This "non-slip futon grip pad" is nothing more than the stuff you would use under your rug to keep it from slipping around on the floor. Certainly it works, but I could have just reached into my closet for said product...this is vastly overpriced and not as depicted in the close up photo.

It is literally the stuff you put in your cabinet to set your dishes on. Literally. It is not a "Non Slip Futon Grip Pad." I put it down anyway because I was a sucker and spent $10+shipping on shelf liner for my futon, but if you are reading this, save yourself the time, go to Walmart or the dollar store or something, and get the same thing for $2.50.

I cannot stress how much, when reading the reviews before I bought this, I thought the other reviewers were joking or exaggerating because they were mad about something. Again, this product is LITERALLY cabinet shelf liner. The packaging actually shows it lining the inside of a picnic basket.

Bottom line, my futon still slips...and I've tried putting this in mutiple configurations between the futon and the frame...no luck.

The product is a shelf liner, cleverly repurposed here as a futon grip pad. The product description should state clearly what it is. It does not hold as well as previous futon grip pads I have used but it holds pretty well.

I purchased this pad for my futon after it kept slipping down and falling off the frame. After I put the pad down, it was amazing the difference that it made. It stayed in place after much wear, and is still working great! I would definitely suggest this pad if your having this problem.

I used to have the worst sliding futon mattress EVER! I also have one of those cheap metal frames which doesn't help. This grip pad is amazing! I'm a big girl with big friends and somehow this little thing keeps the mattress locked in place. I love it =)
