This is my first silicone baking item and it works great. It is substantial weight and easy to fill and use. I placed it on a cookie sheet for the oven. It baked evenly and removing the bagels after cooling for a few minutes was so easy. No problem with cleaning either. I am very happy with this purchase.

Exceeded Expectations
First off, I own quite a few pieces of silicone baking items. This is by far the thickest, most sturdy piece I have ever purchased, which means it doesn’t collapse on the bottom. It passed the pinch test, so I was unable detect any fillers in the silicone. It even has its own storage bag. I put it directly on my oven rack. No problem putting it in or getting it back out. The donuts are really big. My husband is ecstatic. I used the recipe that came with the donut tray. Excellent donuts. I did use ¼ tsp both all spice and nutmeg instead of using all nutmeg. I also wiped the insides with Bakers Joy as I always use this when baking. The recipe said to fill the trays half full. Fill the tray half full. I got over zealous and my donuts puffed up A LOT as you can see in the pictures. For this reason, I had to bake the a little longer which made the bottoms browned a bit, but the bottom wasn’t hard and the tops cracked some as you can see. I’ve only ever given 2 reviews for a product I’ve purchased on Amazon, so the fact that I’m writing this should tell you how happy I am with this product. I’ll now check into getting more products from them. Oh they send out emails to thank me for my purchase. YOU NEED THIS DONUT TRAY. Mixing baking clean up took 30 minutes total. I found a recipe for Cheddar Jalepeno Scallion Donuts. I’m making those tomorrow.

I made the chocolate doughnut and the plain nutmeg doughnut recipe that was included. I used sour cream for the plain doughnut out of necessity and I think I will continue to use it going forward. I think I’ll swirl sugar/cinnamon and nuts through the center next time. I’m going to try the chocolate again with different chocolate. I think I used Dutch which I found lacking. What really blows me away is making what I’m calling my Benglish. It is like a biscuit/bagel/English muffin. I have been making these every day. Double toasted, they have the crunch of an English muffin with a tender interior of a biscuit. The dough is high moisture so it forms well in the pan. The darker bake on some is due to the amount of water I dabbed on top. The darker ones were best. The pan doesn’t brown the bottom of my Benglish (you get the best of both worlds) but the doughnuts get a consistent color. The pan is pricey but the size of the doughnut/bagel makes me happy. I also purchased a $9.99 smaller pan from another vendor but the doughnuts are smaller and more shallow (not bad, just different). I’d buy another but I am baking out of a large toaster oven. This suits my needs.
