After eating the regular store cheap ramin noodles for years he was just sure no others could satisfy his taste. I personally did not understand how he could like those at all.

I bought these first in the spicy chicken and although a little spicy for his tummy, he became addicted to them and said he could never eat the old ramin noodles again. He just usually had to take his tummy medicine after eating. This time I ordered these not noticing that they had fish in them. This was a larger size bowl which I thought would fill him up better. He said they are not spicy and good if he adds soy sauce to them and he would like for me to order them again. He says his favorite is still the spicy chicken and the ginger beef. Ginger beef was not quite a spicy. We just wish these came in more non spicy varieties particularly a non spicy chicken. Flavorful, but less spicy. Also, a little more of the added veggies in sauce mix would be nice.

We have nothing against spicy , in fact, we come from New Mexico with the best in the world Hatch green chilies. It is a different kind of spice though and you can buy them in mild, medium and Hot. Some peoples tummies are just' fussy' when it comes to certain kinds of spicy.

I ordered the Tempura Udon noodle cup and I really like it. It comes with a flavor packet so you can adjust the saltiness of it. I used half the packet, and saved the rest for broth later. The sodium level is quite high if you do not do that, but I found using half the packet still rendered a very flavorful soup. Also, it is quite fishy tasting. There are a lot of ingredients in this soup, and much of it is fish-related. The tempura bits were an interesting aspect to this one, and so were the little 'fish cakes'. I know this probably isn't the most healthful item out there, but it is delicious on a cold day, and economical at a little over a dollar per soup. I will order this again to try the other flavors.

Nong-Shim is a popular Korean Ramen (and other snack foods) brand, and I typically enjoy their products. But some of their noodles are way to spicy for me, since I am sensitive to spicy/hot foods. I really love this Tempura Udon Noodle Cup though, because the savory flavor is not spicy but it is still flavorful and delicious (i.e., not bland). There are bits of dehydrated tempura flakes and seaweed pieces that you add (in the dry packet) which make it sort of unique, and I really enjoy the soup and noodles on a cold day. Also, unlike some other lesser-quality ramen brands, Nong-Shim's noodles stay firm/"al dente" (I know that's more of an Italian adjective, but I can't think of a better term right now) enough and perfectly chewy. And for those of you who prefer a larger meal, there is also a BIG Noodle version of this same product, I believe, with the same flavor/add-ins, etc. It is just a larger serving size, so would be good if you prefer more food in one sitting.

When buying these I wasn't very familiar with udon noodles. I had only had them once and I loved them so i wanted to try them again. These weren't actually the ones I wanted but I enjoyed very much anyway. The taste is something you have to get used to at first (I'm afraid I can't describe it since I'm writing this review months after I bought them) but it's good. It feels you up too. The noodles aren't separated in it's own pack like the udon noodles I had before. There's are hard and dry like other instant noodles. The udon noddles I had were wrapped up since it was wet so if that's what you're looking for this isn't it. I do recommend trying these though.

Nongshim Tempura Udon Noodle Cup immediately became my favorite ramen at first sip! Delicious flavors and a little spicy. The added seafood blends perfectly with the noodles and soup. I am surprised that some people's reviews are negative, as that certainly is not the case with me. We have made many trips to Asia, and lived there for years. We have a taste for authentic Asian flavors. Nongshim is a quality company that is widely known in Asia, and Oriental markets here in the USA. USA customers may not realize that the flavoring packet does not have to be added completely. If you like milder broth and less spicy, then just add part of the packet. Once buyers move beyond the 3 for a Dollar ramen, they can enjoy a more authentic noodle soup that has less salt and other chemicals, such as this one. Highly recommended!

I really like this soup and have re-ordered a number of times. But always wonder why soups of this type have to be THIS SPICY? I don't mind spicy but this can really be over the top. Only reasoning to my mind is if they (and others) cut back on the "spicy" it would have to be replaced by taste! Real or chemical based chicken stock flavor wouldn't be that expensive an addition.

I'll ordered again because of the ease of use, and it always works when you're looking for a quick lunch. Chocked full of noodles and dehydrated things I'm never quite sure what they are.
