Maybe the most annoying part was that it seemed like it was going to work. It did, for about 2 minutes; then, similar to the issues experienced by another reviewer, the keyboard would randomly stop working, and then when it started it would put long repeats of letters I didn't even press in. The worst is when it would activate the backspace key by itself, and I'd lose whole paragraphs. I've had it for about one day, and that's plenty.

I'm typing with it right now. My keyboard came literally 2 days after I ordered it with standard shipping. Everything is about half the size of a normal keyboard. Sometimes it is a bit difficult to type, but it is definitely much easier than typing on the screen. There are shortcut buttons on the keyboard like, volume, email, and even a lock button. Everything works and there is no lag. $20 well spent.

Great case and super easy to use. Basically turns your Nook HD into a netbook. I just love having the built-in Bluetooth keyboard. I spend a lot of time on the road, and need a case that provides lots of protection, which this one does. Would have been nice to have a touchpad on the keyboard -- reaching up onto the screen isn't very convenient if you're doing word processing. The strap is a bit difficult to secure -- holds well, but a velcro, magnetic or snap catch would be more convenient. One nice touch are the holes in the case over the speakers -- lets the sound out, unlike most other cases I've seen. The stand is nice too. It also turns the Nook on and off automatically as you open or close the case. Being able to remove the keyboard from the case easily (it's magnetic) is a big plus -- makes it easy to set keyboard and display at optimum distances. Overall, works well, and a good value for the money.

I'm going to start out by saying I was super excited about receiving this case. I actually work for B&N and I sell nooks. I help people find more uses for their devices all day long, so I was ecstatic when I found a keyboard case that could stand to rival all of the Ipad keyboard cases my customers point out to me all of the time.

The closure is nice, the small keyboard takes a bit of adjusting to, but having the all-in-one feature is worth it. The stand could do with some improvement, as it will occasionally fall down if I get too agressive with my screen-tapping, but it's nothing one can't grow conscientious of. I also liked the fact that I could remove the keyboard from the case when not utilizing it, or if I wanted to type further away from my Nook.

However, the entire row of letters has stopped working after probably less than 15 days of use. I am highly disappointed. It's obviously poorly made.

Overall I like this keyboard case. The keyboard works very well. I can type nearly as fast as on my MacBook Pro. It only took me a short time to get used to the smaller size.
I have a few criticisms. They are perhaps minor, but worth mentioning.
The case is fairly thick, about 1.5 inches closed. It reminds me a lot of the organizers from the 80's or 90's.
The stand on the back is only about 2 in. wide, so you can't really use it on your lap . To use it on my lap, I set it on a standard size clipboard for stability.
I would love it if someone made a Nook HD case similar to the Logitech Keyboard Folio case for the iPad Mini.
There are a couple of quirky key placements: the single quote key is accessed using the "FN+L" key combo and the double quote key is accessed using "FN+;". I use contractions frequently, so this took me a couple of days to get used to.
The Price is a little expensive, I wish it were only $25 or so.
As I said, my criticisms are minor, and I do enjoy using it. I've taken this to the coffee shop several times, and had some productive brainstorming sessions, which I've captured in EverNote using the keyboard.
Another reason I like the Nook HD/keyboard case combo is because the combined price of the two is about $150. So If I lose it, or it gets stolen, I'm not out very much money, and my data is stored "in the cloud".

I scoured the internet for a keyboard case for my nook HD 7 and this product was consistently recommended. I bought it used in the red color and so far it's been fantastic. There's only lag when I begin typing, so you'll have to tap the beginning letter until it appears before you continue typing. The size is just fine for me, a guy with long thin hands who can palm a basketball.

I was hesitant about the quality of a used product, but this case proved used is a great deal. The color is the same as Target stores' red and it comes in a pebbled leather.

The Bluetooth connection is quick and so is the sleep/ wake function . the keyboard is also removable FYI.

Keys stick, often require a lot of force to register a keypress, the spacebar in particular wouldn't register anything short of a direct blow with a hammer (that's an exaggeration, but I strongly considered performing the experiment several times). Probably the most frustrating keyboard experience I've had since they stopped making the Timex Sinclair. Was hoping to find something that would be faster & easier to type on than the on-screen keyboard, but this was apparently not the answer I was looking for.
