Noose is a hard man, he likes his women, never the same one twice, his club, and his solitude. No ties, except to his club and life is good. When he is sent on an errand, everything changes. Rose Christo is everything he has stayed away from but his gut is saying she is something more.

Rose has one focus in life, raise her sisters son. Her sister was murdered and the man guilty of that belongs to a biker gang and he wants his son back. Rose is fighting him tooth and nail, but his threats are amping up. When Noose makes a move for Rose, she is uncertain if she will be safe but as life begins to spin out of control, Noose seems intent on being by her side.

Exciting quickly paced read. Cliffhanger ending. Anxious to read the next book. I liked that Rose and Noose were polar opposites. Had a twist that I thought was intriguing and different for a heroine. Great biker read.

Again, love how Marata Eros writes, and seems to draw us into the drama of the Road Kill MC and members.

Noose and Rose couldn't be any more different people if they tried, but the chemistry between them is explosive, and all the circumstances surrounding each of them make a great story.

What I don't like is Ms. Eros leaving each novella, book, etc. hanging like an outlaw from a tree branch! I can't state how much I hate that. Instead writing a little here and a little there, combine into one book that actually has an ending. While in Noose I got interested in the additional Token series, same thing applies - read, abrupt end, read, abrupt end, read, abrupt end, and now discover there are 9, count 'em NINE parts to the Token series that range in price from $2.99 to $3.99. For all those abrupt beginning novellas, how about combining more together instead of hanging us to buy more?

Ms. Eros is can be a great storyteller - just a little more of that, and less hanging endings!

First of all, I have to say that I love the fact that this MC club was made up of veterans. Knowing as many service men and women as I do, there is not greater bond than those who have fought for our country. That face aside, these guys are rough, tough and gritty. Noose is not different. He's hard and brutally honest about his club life and his sex life. None of these men has any soft edges. That is until Noose meets Rose.

Without giving anything away, this story was intense with a bit of humor thrown in. It's fast paced, addicting and has some erotic and sensual moments.

As a forewarning, this novella has a serious teaser for a cliff hanger and ends with a look at the author's Token series. She has always concluded her novellas in this manner, so it was not a surprise to me. Excellent work! I'm waiting on the edge of my seat for the next part!

4.5 / 5 stars

When I read an MC romance, I expect to see a little bit of that harsh roughness that is so evident in many erotica stories. It works for the culture, in my opinion. Yes, I like my alpha men to have a sweet, protective side, but the nature of the beast has them taking people roughly, and giving kisses softly when all is said and done...

I think that Marata Eros has accomplished just that.

Now... just so you are prepared... This is part one -- meaning it ends on a cliff. And what a doozey of a cliff it is. I am in need of book two now. Also, this is part one -- further meaning that the love is a bit quick and intense, and that as a reader, you may feel that there's so much more needed in their story for Rose and Noose to fully understand their feelings.

I enjoyed watching Noose fall for Rose. He was definitely the quicker of the two, and with it, we see his reactions to love. My favorite of those reactions? That he lashes out in harsh words when hurt. Rose may not have understood it, Rose may have thought he was just showing his roots, but the underlying was the emotion.

Rose never wanted to fall for a biker. Falling for a biker was the farthest thing on her mind. Her sister was murdered by a biker, after all. Little did she fathom, she'd fall for a biker herself -- from a rival gang.

These two meet and get it on quite quickly, in all honesty, and Noose gets a little butt-hurt quite quickly, too, but these two were enjoyable to read. Rose has some sassy-comical thoughts along the way that didn't quite jive up with the characterization we are presented, but it made for great comedy and eye rolls -- all in good jest, I assure you.

It was free and now I know why. Incomplete short story with a naughty typical start that was like many raunchy biker books but then took a turn to a semi-sweet/semi-sour drama of a woman who is in way over her head between the bad guy who murdered her sister and the "other" bad guy who wants to help her.
Would have been better if the characters had been more fleshed out and it didn't end abruptly like it did...just a teaser basically.
