Quality Kitchenware. Made in America.
Nordic Ware’s products are made by a skilled team of craftspeople in Minneapolis, Minnesota, all of whom share the vision of creating the finest quality kitchenware items in the industry. Our unique designs originate from our own in-house team of product designers and engineers, and we draw on inspiration from our own experiences in the kitchen as well as time-tested manufacturing methods to create products that will be handed down from one generation to the next.
Meet the Makers
We are fortunate to have an incredible team of dedicated individuals that are behind the strength of the Nordic Ware brand. These are the hard-working Americans who create, craft make, inspect, pack, ship, and bring our products to life. They’re the makers who touched your cookie sheet, your Bundt cake pan, and your griddle with their own hands as each piece was being made. Without them, our brand and products would be something much less. The strength of ‘family’ runs deep within our company DNA-- a trait we take great pride in.
75 years of American-made Kitchenware
Founded in 1946 by an enterprising young husband and wife team, Nordic Ware began as a fledgling company specializing in ethnic Scandinavian products, as well as everyday items like griddles and steak platters. To this day, our company remains family owned and operated across three generations.
The Nordic Ware brand has endured and our products can be found in homes around the world. We now manufacture over 400 products, ranging from cookware and bakeware to microwave-safe plastic products, grilling accessories and tools for food prep and serving. We’re known for producing no-nonsense, durable goods that will be passed down from one generation to the next.

Well, he loves it. Just loves it. He fiddled with the times a bit, and has now found that 45 seconds in our 1200 watt microwave, followed by immediate removal, gives him just what he wants, nice soft juicy yolks. I just bought a second one, in case he wants more eggs - poached eggs, not hard boiled - the poacher will be available.
I would imagine something would indeed blow up if you set the timer for ten minutes. In case anybody doesn't know, here is how to hard boil eggs: Put as many as you want in a pan, cover with cold water, turn the heat on high. WHEN THE WATER BOILS, TURN THE HEAT OFF. Leave the eggs alone, go away, do something else. When the water is cool, use the eggs. I've been known to leave them overnight, doesn't matter, just as long as the water is fully cool. This seems to be fool-proof.
For perfect poached eggs, get this, it's great. So easy even a blind man can use it.
The kicker is YOU CAN'T RETURN THE PRODUCT.
Also message to the maker you may want to use spell check on your packaging.
I didn't expect much out of it but its pretty sturdy. I sprayed some oil in both cavities, dropped in two extra large eggs and nuked them in two phases. 40 seconds for the first go and then another 15. It was still a little gooey after 40 seconds which is why I gave it another 15.
Eggs came out great and simple. The yolk was soft.
Clean up is a breeze with the exception of the hinges. I can see gunk building up in there if you're not vigilant about cleaning all the nooks and crannies.
I think the full price for this about 6.50 USD. Would I pay that much for another one? Probably not. Around 4 bucks, I would.
Also, some have noted that this doesn't snap tight. I'm not saying this closed and snapped all the way but it definitely closed to the point where I felt it wasn't going to spring open. Plus I think it's designed to give a little bit of leeway since eggs do tend to "pop" when you microwave them.
Update - 7/1/19
Discovered that you really don't need oil at all. The eggs, for the most part, pop right out. You'll just need to give it an extra scrub when cleaning.
Also realized that the hinges can pop out so cleaning is much easier. This thing really is great for the morning!
The product itself is made of good quality material. I would have rated it 5-Stars if it had strong hinges.

I haven’t been able to get the eggs cooked so the centre’s are soft instead of hard. Still working on it. No problem getting hard eggs though. It may depend on my microwave. Overall I am happy with the way my eggs come out but I am working on what my wife likes. It’s much faster than the conventional type of cooker, so breakfast is sooner.
I recommend this unit if you are looking for a fast cooked hard centre poached egg.
