I bought and used this particular design recently for a special Bundt cake and received rave reviews. I'm not one to want to use the same old design of Bundt pan that is 'commercially' used so I do my "own thing" and my cakes stand out visually as a result. While I haven't yet used all three of my pans, the one I have used works like a dream. Spray on the oil, flour it liberally covering EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY, shake out the excess, and pour in the batter and bake. Once it comes out of the oven, let the cake sit on a rack to allow the heat from the pan to dissipate and cool until you can see the sides of the cake pull away from the pan. Put a plate/cake server over the top and flip it CAREFULLY OVER. Once the cake falls out by its self, you are 'home free' and ready to do whatever. Also, if you want added decorations on the top of a Bundt fruit cake, like nuts, candied fruit, etc, put those in the bottom of the pan UPSIDE DOWN BEFORE you pour in the batter. When you flip it over, they will be 'magically' in place and part of the cake. Just make sure you are as careful in CLEANING the pan (by hand) afterward to assure ALL left over flour, oils are removed from the surface, so as to insure it is ready for the next use. Cleaning it by hand is IMPORTANT to ensure the pan keeps its lasting surface in perfect baking condition for the LIFE of the pan. $30 is a LOT to spend on a baking pan and I don't waste money lightly! Happy baking!

First I have always liked these pans, they are beautiful. However, I would advise you to consider what kind of baking you do. If you back from scratch with a 9- 10 cup batter this could be the pan for you. If you do box cake skip it unless you just love the design on the top of the cake pan, and are OK without a complete design from the sides. For reference look at the second from last row in the gallery middle two pictures, with strawberries and the chocolate cake next to it. I do both and like the pan, but may have chosen another design. For a box cake ( I tried mutiple brands) I could not get the cake to rise higher than half way up the upper most side oval. There are a few tricks I found online: 1- Pre chill your pan in the freezer while you make the batter, 2- Lower your oven temp. the pan hold heat almost to well. My directions say 350 I went down to 315. 3- Use baking spray but not to the top of the pan, leave 3" of top all around to help cake climb. 4- Pull batter up sides creating a higher outer and inner walls to help stop doming. 5- Do NOT pre-heat your oven, this give the cake more time to rise. All that done and still with a cake mix I could not ever get the cake to rise to the top and get a complete design. So if you mainly do box mixes and love the sides of this pan I would say skip it. They do make cake pans with wreath like designs on the inverted top you may like more so. If you don't mind and bake from scratch go for it.

Initially impressed with the pan. Lifetime warranty. Great look to it. Nice and heavy. Wife made choco-vanilla marble bundt the first night and it was gone same night. There is a recipe on the pan's warranty card that is amazing. The only problem I have with the pan is that on the inside, there are some imperfections when the pan was cast. (it's cast aluminum) So in those places the cake likes to stick. Even with the cake release PAM w/flour. Even after brushing it in. Yes all the precautions are taken. It's just rough burrs in the metal on the inside of the pan that give it something to stick to when it bakes. As I said, lifetime warranty though. After we bake another of the anniversary edition bundts from the warranty card we will send it in and get a replacement. :) If you want a bundt pan, pull the trigger on this one. You will only be disappointed if you get a beat up one like me... 5 start but took off 1 since I got a beat up pan. Your mileage may vary but I can only review based on the item "I" received. Would be 5 if I didn't have to send the brand new pan back in to be replaced...

gorgeous, cooks like a dream. just a trick though, spray the blue can of bakers joy and use a bakers brush to gently spread it all in the crevices.
Dont brush too hard to pull the oil up onto the brush, just gently get into all the creases. It comes out like a dream. And I also use a PLASTIC knife to check for doneness. I have done this for many many years. Metal holds heat and I find if your oven cooks uneven the metal knife tends to not be too accurate. It does work, but I find the plastic is the BEST method. NOT the only just better. Oh and another trick for this pan, slice it with teeth floss half way through the height fill the center with instant vanilla pudding made up and chilled just a bit, then top the cake off with choc. frosting and you have a quick easy Boston Creme Pie. Which is my favorite but I can never find it. This is by far the prettiest cake pans I own.
