Nori Muster is a writer-researcher and artist based in Arizona. She earned her master's degree at Western Oregon University for research with creative art therapy. She started writing for publication in 1981, and a memoir of her odyssey in the Hare Krishna organization came out in 1997. Betrayal of the Spirit is a best selling book that garnered favorable reviews in Publisher's Weekly, Yoga Journal, and other fine publications.
Nori has written two follow-up books, Child of the Cult and Cult Survivor's Handbook. She writes journal articles on the subject, is a spokesperson to the media, and a regular presenter at the International Cultic Studies Association (ICSA) conferences.
Nori wrote her own I Ching (Learning to Flow with the Dao), and her own positive thinking book (Dreaming Peace), for people in the post-9/11 world. She also published a children's book, the Noriland Gallery, with more than a hundred of her own drawings and paintings.
