1) its made in china you can find one of these in a dollar store for 99 cents!
2) the handle is screwed in from both sides with no stopper to prevent it from spinning in place. as i was cutting in the butter for a pie crust for an apple pie it seemed to be the dream come true! cutting butter like it wasn't even there until the handle decided to spin causing my hand to trust down into the flour flipping the bowl half way over. with what just happened i managed to finish being very very careful.
3) when i was done an cleaning up i examined it a little closer, the cutting blades were bend to the side somewhat. not a big deal the its basically expanded metal an if you have to do this every time they will snap off.
all in all i rate this with 1 star if you need a cutter examine the way the handle attaches so the handle DONT spin on you while cutting in the butter. ive seen a dozen for just a few bucks more that are much better construction. again you can find this in a dollar store
This anti-rotation mechanism is present in only one of the two sides, which reduces both manufacturing costs and the effectiveness of the design. I unscrewed mine and saw that the square cavity in the plastic handle had become rounded from my first use, and was therefore no longer effective to stop rotation. Fortunately, both sides of the handle have this squared off cavity even though the steel frame has prongs to fit on one side only. So I reversed positions to match the prongs with the remaining functional square cavity. After tightening down the screws firmly, the handle stays in place. I'm pretty certain that the screws were not quite tight enough as delivered to me, thus allowing slippage and the rounding to occur.
The verdict? Poor technical design and execution with cheap materials. I'll use it until it fails again, and then I'll buy something better.

It works well, is quieter than a pastry blender-but works as well as a pastry blender. Cleanup is fast and easy. Perfect utensil for the job.Published 4 days ago by Tony Marquise Jr.
It's great for the few times I do need a pastry cutter. Easy to work with and all. I'm sure you can put it in the dishwasher, but cleaning it by hand takes a bit of effort.Published 1 month ago by Mike Kemp
