I read the reviews, everyone said it was small. But dang it is tiny! Most recipes I have found call for 2 tablespoons of batter plus the filling. You can fit about one tablespoon plus the filling. Still is a great little pan! Since it’s not seasoned I rubbed it down with bacon grease and stuck it in the oven upside down and tuned it on to 500 degrees for an hour and then turned it off and let it cool. It made the pan almost black with the perfect coating to start to fry up your Aebleskivers

Aebelskiver was a frequent treat in my home when I was growing up. I'm continuing the tradition.
I purchased four of these pans. I use two at a time and bought the other two for gifts.
I collect cast iron and use it all the time. I've noticed nothing odd about these pans. I've had NONE of the problems mentioned in the reviews which rate this product poorly. The pans seasoned well, they don't wobble on my gas range, there was no weird smell when I seasoned them and no odd taste in the food cooked in them. They blackened up nicely with seasoning just like any other unseasoned ci has for me.
I guess I don't see the size as a problem. The pan my parents have always used was purchased in Solvang, CA back in the late '60's. It makes the same size aebelskiver as this pan does. The only time I've ever had larger aebelskiver was at a restaurant in Solvang. I guess I thought that THOSE were the exception.

A very good pan. Totally worth getting it. However please remember to season it first. By that I mean, when you first get it, wash it with warm water and soap. Dry it completely with a kitchen towel, oil it well and put it in the oven at the highest heat for 45 mins. Then let it cool. Next day oil it again and put it in the oven again for 45 mins. I did this three times. The oil adheres to the pan it becomes like a non stick.
