Heat Aebleskiver pan on medium heat. Grease each cup using a little butter or oil or spray vegetable oil. Fill each cup 2/3 full. Cook for approximately 1 to 1 ½ minutes, each side, until golden brown. Flip with toothpick. When done, serve with a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Best when served warm. Optional: Fill each cup only a 1/3 full with batter, place a small amount of fruit in each cup and cover with an additional 1/3 batter.
Cast Iron Care:
First, wash your new pan using hot, soapy water.
Season your cast iron pan before using by coating with vegetable oil (peanut, grapeseed or canola) over the inside surface up to the rim.
Place oiled pan upside down on baking sheet and bake oiled pan in the oven for approximately one hour at 350°F/175°C. Remove from oven and let cool. Wipe off excess oil. Pan is ready to use.
To clean use very hot water and a scrubbing brush, then dry. If you use soap you will need to re-season the pan after washing it.
To store spread a light coating of oil on inside surface of pan.

This one fit the bill, and at a great price! It arrived un-seasoned, but was easy to clean up and prepare to season. A few rounds in the oven with pam spray and it seasoned right up, ready for use. The pan works great!
Aebelskiver was a frequent treat in my home when I was growing up. I'm continuing the tradition.
I purchased four of these pans. I use two at a time and bought the other two for gifts.
I collect cast iron and use it all the time. I've noticed nothing odd about these pans. I've had NONE of the problems mentioned in the reviews which rate this product poorly. The pans seasoned well, they don't wobble on my gas range, there was no weird smell when I seasoned them and no odd taste in the food cooked in them. They blackened up nicely with seasoning just like any other unseasoned ci has for me.
I guess I don't see the size as a problem. The pan my parents have always used was purchased in Solvang, CA back in the late '60's. It makes the same size aebelskiver as this pan does. The only time I've ever had larger aebelskiver was at a restaurant in Solvang. I guess I thought that THOSE were the exception.
It's a solid cast iron pan so I expect it to be on hand for a good lifetime or two. The only thing to note is its inconvenience only because of its size.

Heavy, the wells are smaller than they look on the pictures and you can't return because the posting charges for return is 16£ . I just throw it
However - AS WITH ANY NEW CAST IRON - please clean the unit properly. Put in Oven @ max temp for an hr, scrub, do the same, etc...and then re season with your favourite oil (I use lard and works great) (for seasoning - lookup some tutorials online, but basic premise - heat at 350F+ with a super thin oil coating for 45 mins, and repeat a few times with cooldown in between)
as with any new piece of Cast Iron - I scrubbed and put in the oven for an hr to dry - IT SMELLED LIKE burned plastic. Further inspection - some of the unscrubbed areas had gooey residue that upon touch, which dried very quick upon wiping with a paper towel..looked like a plastic/chemical coating on it...not sure what the factory sprayed on it to prevent from Rust, but IMHO not safe for smell or eating;)
...anyway - few oven cycles later - looks and smells nice, but please - CLEAN FIRST..Ideally torch it on a wok burner first..
