The cake-Sicle pan was awesome. I bought this to use as an activity for the kids at my son's first birthday party and they loved it. The adults loved it too, heck I loved it. The pan is so easy to use. You can use cake batter or brownie batter or even cookie batter. We made brownies and cookies because they seem to hold up better on the popcicle sticks. We decorated them with frosting, sprinkles, caramel, mini chocolate chips, and oreo's. I would definately reccommend this to anyone having a kids party. It's great. A tip would be to use 1/8 cup to measure the batters. That seem to be the best to make them even.

After reading mixed reviews on this product I opened mine with a bit of apprehension - and rightfully so.

First off I think the package saying "use any type of cake mix" is a bit misleading. I'm certain that something like butter cake would never stand up on a stick. Not the pan's fault - it's gravity!

Mine turned out beautifully, with some tricks. Firstly I used a dense chocolate cake and added choc chips for stability. Once cooked, I inserted the sticks with wet melted chocolate on the ends. Then....here's the secret trick part...I popped them into the freezer for an hour. This allowed them to harden and firm up so I could easily dunk them into melted chocolate and cover in sprinkles and other yummy bits.

So, I guess what I am saying is, don't expect to just make a regular cake and pop onto a stick and they will stand upright and perfect. I'm afraid there is no way that's going to happen. But once the chocolate is hard they stand up nicely and look absolutely stunning (not to mention taste like heaven).

First I'd like to note that the pan I got came with a small package of popsicle sticks so you might want to hold off on buying them separately. Unless they've changed the packaging, it's not necessary.

We've made these several times and I agree that it works best with brownies or a more dense cake otherwise the sticks tend to pop out.

This high-quality pan is an excellent way to make normal cookies or cupcakes more interesting and fun. I just wish more cake-sicle recipes were available with the pan (only three on the box itself) or on-line.

Had a popsicle party for my 2 yr old. Easy to do! Just make sure the cake is set or the sticks will break right through the cake. Loved IT & so did my guests

It would be better without the non-stick coating, which always tends to over-brown everything; for those having issues with the cake sliding on the sticks, dip the sticks in a bit of melted chocolate before insertion, and let it set up a couple minutes before picking up the cakes.

This pan worked just as I had hoped. I used regular boxed cake mix (funfetti) and it used appox. half the batter that a cupcake would. Sticks went into cake with no problem. However, you can't really eat it by just holding the stick without them falling off. I didn't really expect to, I was just going for a "popsicle" look.

this was not what i expected used pre made cookie dough, and it was a mess......the sticks would not hold they kept tearing out of the cookie. I would suggest not even use this form and just buy the Popsicle sticks and insert the sticks into the cookie dough and by pass this pan together. used it once and put it in a garage sale...save your money
