I purchased this to use in my Instant Pot and it fits perfect! I have loaded it up with veggies and they steamed great but the only problem is getting a hold of the center stem of the steamer when you have a lot of veggies in it, just wish the center stem was about 2" longer. Also it seems to be very well made and washes up easily as well as folds small for easy storage.
steel. Stainless is not supposed to rust. I've noticed mine is showing rust at the top where the leafs touch each other. Hope this news helps
others who are thinking about purchasing the. Probably made in CHINA. Don't remember if I did a review after I got the steamer.
Update: 9/29/17 now. Put a magnet to it. It's magnetic. Even if it is magnetic stainless, it still is not supposed to rust. I say it is just plated steel.
