Some information that may help visualize the sizing based off of my own size - I am 5’9” and 160 Lbs. I typically wear a size large for a full helmet that has the foam padding inserts.
Even though this item states it’s a size small it seemed to fit just fine around my face, including not seeming to compromise the seal around my beard. The weight does become noticeable after a bit, but is not an issue for brief periods of time. Longer durations of wearing a full face mask will always feel as if it is a chore to wear but this masks comfort seems to be very reasonable.
Be wary that this mask, while it can have filters applied to protect from viral particulate, does come equipped with an out-valve which is there to assist you in exhaling with less exertion. I would recommend reading on cdc guidelines for masks with breathing valves for exhaling, as this mask seems to not filter your exhale which means if you are a carrier of a virus you may still be capable of spreading particles in the air.
I personally would like to try the PAPR modification for this mask, but due to covid’s ongoing severity, that product seems to be offered to those who are verified health care providers exclusively, or anyone else that seems to be working positions in response to covid that are in high risk situations.
I purchased another full face mask before this one, but this one is what I kept and felt comfortable and safe wearing. The previous mask I returned and will also be leaving a review for after posting this review.
I honestly am not entirely sure what the “thickness” category encompasses entirely, but this mask does not seem to be made flimsily or cheaply. I don’t think we’re getting a tempered glass visor here, but it seems respectably durable and put together. Just take care of it properly.

My wife is 5 ft tall, and I purchased this specific product because it was the only one "Small Size" published in Amazon, but unfortunately, I have received the wrong size: M/L instead of Small. In the description, is clearly mentioned: "Honeywell North 5400 Series Niosh-Approved Full-Facepiece Respirator, Small (54001S)"... and additionally, double-checking the received catalog, the Manufacturer P/N for Small Size is precisely what is shown in the publication between parentheses. This ultimately confuses people.Note the same as another reviewer recently said: "Incorrect Listing." "Please change the listing to reflect the product accurately.
