I am updating my original review from June 2018. You will find the original review below. At that time (June 2018) I gave the product a 5 star rating. In my update I am changing the rating to 2 stars.
The reason for the change/downgrade in my rating is that it simply did not hold up. If you read my original review (below) you will see that I had reservations regarding how it might hold up when I purchased this in May 2018. I was concerned about the light weight fabric and how it would do in the hot Florida sun. My review was written after it had been installed for approximately one month and it was holding up just fine at that point. However, as the summer wore on I noticed that the fabric began to fade. Then in January 2019, I experienced my first small rip in the fabric near a seam. I purchased a patch kit and made a repair. I was a little disappointed then, but felt... let's see what happens.
Unfortunately, since January it has continued to rip and separate in various places. The fabric now is pretty much the consistency of tissue paper in certain areas. There are patches everywhere. My wife decided last month to give the shipper a call and see what they might be able to do for us. The answer was nothing. They explained that their warranty is 30 days and that is just for manufacturing defects or shipping damage. Once you install the JetSki cover on your boat... It's yours. We were extremely disappointed. We did not expect that they were going to send us a new cover since it was coming up on being a year old. However, since it started falling apart after nine months you would think they would give you something. Even a slight discount on a new one would seem like good customer service. However, that was not the case. My wife let them know that we were going to update our review, which was a very positive one when we purchased the cover. She told them that it would reflect our current feelings about the JetSki cover and how it did not hold up. This is that update.
Just look at the pictures and you can see that this is not normal.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
When I looked at the reviews for this JetSki cover I have to admit I had some concerns. Some were pointing out how the cover color had faded quickly. Others talked about it not holding up. However, there were also reviews from users who were very happy with the product. So I decided to order it and see for myself. When the cover arrived, the first thing I noticed was that the box was very light. In other words the material is thin and lightweight. That concerned me based on some of the reviews I had read. I decided to install it anyway. So far so good. It has been on for about a month. I live in central Florida and so far no fading of color. We have had a lot of rain recently and the Jet Ski has remained dry. The fit is not perfect, but it is very good. I have put it on a Sea-Doo 4 Tec - 2003. I was looking for a cover that was reasonably priced and good quality. This seems like it fits the bill!

There are 2 things I would suggest the MFG change about these covers. 1. Add 2 more strap points, 1 towards the front, and 1 towards the read and these covers would be installed tight.
2. Let the seams out a bit around the handlebars. The handlebars are a tight fit under the cover, and if any of the seams fail, it will be at the handlebars. Make that area a bit wider, or add some universal pockets to reduce the stress on the seams.
Other than those 2 small issues, these covers are perfect.
I just put these on my two 2012 Yamaha VX Cruiser Waverunners and they are a great fit. (length of 126.8 inches, height of 45.7 inches, and beam (width) of 46.1' inches).
I put these covers on overnight if I keep the skis on the trailer in a hotel parking lot, etc. I think it just makes them a little less "interesting" or tempting for people to jump on them while they are on the trailer and adds a bit more protection from the beating sun if they are on the trailer during day.
I've read a few reviews that mention rips or wearing of these covers while driving with them on the trailer. But I've had many different covers (some much more expensive than these) and they all rip or tear after a while if you are on driving at highway speeds with the covers on. I don't drive with the covers on - I put them on only when I get where I'm going! I can wash the skis later and if I'm dropping them in the water later then who cares anyway?
So, these are perfect for a bit of extra protection while the skis are on the trailer and not moving. If you insist on transporting your skis with the covers on, just be ready to buy a new set of covers every year.
