I do not recommend ordering this through Amazon. I ordered the book 15 March 2012 and have not received it as of 27 April. When I tracked the package it showed it departing the New Jersy UPS on 17 March, and Amazon shows it as shipped 22 March. (???) I contacted Amazon customer service on 10 April and received the following reply "it has scanned as leaving NJ, today book media rate standard mail can take up to 6 weeks delivery time they wait till the have several packages going to that area" . Ok, I'm confused why are we tracking UPS if its coming by standard mail. Major question is why did I pay for shipping/handling if the vendor is waiting for the next Pony Express Rider heading to the North West.
I can understand if the book was out of print, back ordered, delayed due to weather, but the vendor holding the order for up to 6 weeks to save them money on shipping. Especially after I paid to have it shipped is not acceptable. I have ordered several items from Amazon over the past 10 years, and this is the first time I have had any problems. Amazon's track record has been very good, and I am not going to stop ordering from them because of one issue.
