About North Shininger

North Shininger grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and moved to Oregon in 2014 where her wife Lori grew up on the coast. She started needle felting in 2016, and makes felted animals and dolls, as well as two dimensional framed work. Over the winter of 2019, she began writing a children's story, and illustrating it with her felted scenes. It developed over several months, and finally evolved into Fall Asleep Sheep. She is currently working on another children's book, hopefully to be published in the spring of 2021.
