Comfort Handle Design

Easy to Install

The Supergate Ergo is easy to install. Place the gate in the opening where you would like to use it and expand the gate so all four bumpers are touching the walls. Rotate the locking handle until your gate is at the correct tension to secure your gate, then lock in place.

The worst baby gate I’ve ever bought

I knew from the price that I wasn’t buying a high quality product but I bought two and both have broken within a month. The problem is, it’s impossible to get them the right amount of tight. The plastic is flimsy so getting the top and bottom the same width is impossible. If you get some part of it tight enough and try to add tension, other feet won’t be tight. If you get all the feet tight and add tension, the plastic part that holds it tight breaks. Complete waste. It might be ok if you don’t ever need to take it down, but my use requires me to latch and unlatch a couple times a day.

It does the job, but with a little bit of tweaking. Our home was built in the 70s so of course by 2019, the doorways aren’t perfectly square anymore due to 40 years of settling. That’s a problem since this baby gate only adjusts by the width across the middle- so if all four points where it touches your wall aren’t perfectly straight then the gate doesn’t want to stay in place. We ended up jamming some cardboard between the gap where our wall wasn’t plumb with the baby gate just so we didn’t have to return it. So if you have an older home, spend the extra money for the baby gates where each of the four parts that touches your wall is independently adjustable.

We LOVE this gate. And I will tell you the number 1 reason-it is the best pressure gate out there. We never want to attach it to the wall and this one doesn't have to be. Yet it is not like the flimsy wood ones that anyone can knock over easily. We had one of these gates when our kids were young, but then we passed it along thinking we didn't need it anymore. Now we have a dog and I immediately sought to find another one like the one we had with our kids. Hands down the best pressure gate out there!

I love how easy this pet gate is to put up and down. I have a few other ones that have to stay mounted in the doorway which is a pain in the butt when you don't need them up 24/7. I got this gate specifically to keep my own dogs penned downstairs in the living room and kitchen area while my husband and I are at work. I set it up at the top of the stairs that lead up to the bedrooms and it was so easy to set up and it felt very sturdy. It was a breeze to take down and move it out of the way. It was also pretty easy to open the door although my husband was having trouble with the childlock. No need to buy the more expensive pet gates, I love the price of this one and how easy it is to put up and take down!

Got this to keep my 20lb Shiba Inu in the kitchen while I’m at work. I also got one of those wooden pressure gates. I will get another wooden one and sell this plastic one. It’s pretty flimsy and he was able to knock it down. Probably better for tinier dogs like chihuahuas or dogs that simply see a gate and don’t bother trying to do anything about it.

Also, for some reason the instructions and extra parts were trapped between the two panels in my gate and one of the screws got caught. It was hell trying to get it out and I almost had to bend a piece of the hardware to remove it.

We have had an older model of this gate and have been very happy with it for many years. No more toddlers in the house. We use it as a pet gate. This new model (to us) works as well as the older model and we are happy with both. Since we are using them for restricting access to a small pet, we find it is not necessary to lock it into the doorway as we did for use as a child gate. Simply leaning it slightly against the door jams works fine as a small pet barrier. This also makes it quick and easy to remove and replace to allow adult access. Thanks North State Industries.

Do not order this item if your walls have base molding at the bottom trim. Little did I know this would create a big issue for this item - it will not stay/lock in place, and it will not stay standing up (it'll simply keep falling down).

I also found this gate to be pretty difficult to switch from lock to unlock mode (pretty frustrating as you have to use VERY strong force).

After hours of endless attempts of (VERY non-helpful) directions to get this thing to work like it should...we finally gave up and left it leaning against the wall until we find a new one.

I can't recommend this item.

I use this gate to block a bedroom door, keeping the dog from getting to where the cat's food and litter box are. This means the gate gets put up and pretty much stays up except for the rare occasion. First purchased almost exactly 3yrs ago. That gate lasted until about a month ago when out of the blue I found a piece of plastic lying next to it one day when I came home from work. Since the dog was crated I can't imagine what happened, but this is now the second time I've purchased the same gate. It was difficult to make this one latch at the right opening size for some reason, but it's working good enough for my needs. Hopefully won't have a piece of plastic randomly break off this time!

Muy buena opción para poner al tope de las escaleras para seguridad de mi bebé, las instrucciones son un poco confusas pero el manejo e instalación de la reja es sencilla una vez que logras instalarla. Me gusta tener la opción de instalarla con bisagras o sólo a presión. La reja a presión se queda fija muy firme no se cae aunque la empujes, la recomiendo.

Compré 2 y una venía incompleta, le falta una bisagra para montar en la pared. Voy a hacer la devolución pero la política de Amazon que dice que si el empaque está dañado el reembolso será menor es ridícula, la caja está bien pero obviamente para sacar las piezas para montar en. Pared es necesario romper las bolsitas que las contienen, espero que por las bolsas no me reduzcan el reembolso. Cómo nota final el hecho de que tenga una palanca para asegurar la reja es más complicado que si tuviera una jaladera que suba y baje como en otras marcas.

Buen producto. Al investigar parecía que podía hacer función como de puerta es decir pensé que venia con algo que lo atorara de un solo lado para abrir y cerrarlo como puerta. Y no es así. A parte en mi caso tengo un soclo por lo que no embona la parte de arriba y eso hace que no cumpla con toda su función como debe de ser y me ha manchado la pared. De ahí en fuera el precio es muy bueno y los materiales son muy buenos.
