  • EASY TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT - Easily change the temperature by using the adjustable thermostat located on the exterior. Choose a number between 1 (Off) to 7 (Coldest). Temperatures range from -4°F and 6.8°F which allows you to customize freezing for your favorite foods.
  • ENERGY SAVING - Unlike many other models on the market, the Northair 7 cubic feet small chest freezer has a modest energy consumption of 0.68 kWh/24h. This not only means Northair deep freezers are more environmentally friendly but they also allow you to save on your next energy bill.

It's only been 24 hours but I love this freezer. My wife enjoys it more than me because the freezer gives a vertically challenged person so many more options. First, the freezer got cold right off the bat. Set on setting #4 by the manufacture, it was enough to freeze my ice cream into a solid block up high in the freezer. See photographs. We have tons of room. It's time to stock this 5 cubic foot unit. Also the shelf adds to the ease of use. Again, when the little lady is happy, I'm happy. No complaints thus far. The third-party delivery truck knocked the unit around a bit. However, I found no external damage. Set up was a breeze.

I didn’t see a lot of reviews for the 5.0 sized freezer so I’m hoping this helps someone out if they are looking. This took about a week to arrive. There is a small knick on the outside corner, however, it didn’t affect it. I wiped it out. Fired it up and it works. It is quiet that was one thing I was concerned about. You will see I have it in my laundry room. It doubles as a folding top when laundry comes out of the dryer. I don’t believe the heat from the dryer running so close has affected it so here’s to hoping it stays that way. I got tired of fighting my only refrigerator freezer to close shut so this has really helped with overflow and freezer items I choose to want more of on hand.

This freezer works fine. But there was frost buildup on the inside on the left side at the top. There was a 3" long paper-thin gap between the box and the lid gasket. I put a gallon can of paint on the top left which put enough pressure on the lid to make the seal and stop the frost build up. The solution was to put 12" of electrical tape along the top of the box. That was enough thickness to seal the gap.
My wife would have preferred a 9 cu ft model over this 7 cu ft.
