The inclusion of gps coordinates very helpful. Many good, heart pounding pictures. The fact that the author has done the trails in his own jeep a huge plus.
However, in this edition, they've tried too hard. Each trail only gets two pages whether it needs more or not. They've included a separate 3D mapping which has a rolling north orientation. The fonts get way too small. And though the photos are excellent it takes a magnigying glass to see them.
The coil binding uses too small a ring and catches the pages constantly and is impossible to fold back.
Great book, very useful, fun, motivational, but not quite five stars. (The old Moab book I would give 5 stars. Bigger binding, larger fonts and format, favorite trails list.)
They use gps coordinates for the start points and other spots on each trail. If you have a Garmin you can plug them in and drive right to the trail.
Very informative descriptions of trails and what to expect.

Book was shipped in a padded envelope and damaged during shipping. I have the Southern and Northern books, very useful with pictures and info on each trail/roadPublished 14 days ago by Mitchell J Kane

Thanks, great book. You can't go wrong buying Charles Wells books and the GPS chips that follow the book. If you wheel in Moab they have a great book and GPS chip.Published 1 month ago by Kermit Williams
Great easy to use book. Cover is kind of annoying but worth it.Published 2 months ago by Scott B Caron
It's a good book, but it doesn't have all the trails from the 2010 consolidated version, so now I have to use three books.Published 4 months ago by BookLover
Great line of books for anyone who likes to explore the back country. A digit version would be a great update in the future!Published 4 months ago by rizbosix
