The size 10 was both too long and too wide. They were returned and replaced by a size 9.
The length of the size 9 is good but the heel area is too large.
The water shoe would easily slip off if it ever got wet.
I recommend only ordering this product if your feet are wider than average.
Plus, recommend ordering at least one size smaller than your typical shoe size.
...oh, and they don't dry quickly or completely, either. So there's that.
The quality of them is not amazing either. The stitching just looks poorly done, and I would not be surprised if it starts unraveling within a couple of uses.
My biggest gripe however is how fast they dry out. These are supposed to be water shoes, and some reviews even say they dry quickly. Maybe if you just splash some water on them that might be true? If you actually walk in water with these shoes, don't plan on them drying out for hours. I primarily bought these to use in a kayak and prevent sunburn on my feet. Today was the first day I wore these shoes. When I got in the kayak the shoes stayed noticeably wet on my feet for 2 or 3 hours. This was in the sunlight. When I was leaving and got out of the kayak in the water, I took the shoes back off at my truck and brought them inside when I got home. That was 5 hours ago and they are still pretty soggy. I honestly don't think they dry any quicker than regular tennis shoes.
It's now been over 30 hours since they were last in the water, sitting in a bathtub. They are still completely drenched. Squeeze the side and water squishes out. This is unacceptable for a water shoe really. I've lowered my rating due to it and will be seeking an alternative pair of water shoes that actually dry out as they should.
I have wide feet and have problems finding any shoes that fit. These shoes feel about as comfortable as socks. They fit my foot width AND arch height. Most "wide" shoes seem to assume people have duck feet. I like these fittnig my entire foot.
The amazing thing about these shoes is that they are surprisingly warm in the winter in snow. And I like them for hiking because I can feel the trail and rocks under my feet in a good way; I feel more in control in iffy footing areas. And they grip better than other shoes on tralis and on rocks in streams.
One thing about these shoes is they are flat on bottom. I added an insert support which made them a lot more comfortable for walking and hiking.
