I have shown dogs since the 1980's and handled my two Norwich Terriers to their AKC championships. This book provided very little useful information specific to the breed. Unfortunately, as the Norwich is such a rare breed, there are few books written about them. By far the most informative book on the breed is "The Norwich Terrier" by Marjorie Bunting. It is no longer in print but used copies can occasionally be found here at Amazon or on Ebay.
My suggestion is that you visit the Norwich Terrier Club of America (NTCA) website and the AKC website if you wish to learn more about the breed. Several of the breeders listed on the NTCA website have great websites of their own with lots of information about all aspects of the breed. As for grooming, there are some excellent instructional videos available on You Tube. Enter the search words "Norwich Terrier grooming" or "Norwich Terrier Stripping" and you'll find them. You can also attend AKC dog shows which is an excellent opportunity to meet the dogs, their breeders and handlers. Wait until after the dogs are done showing and most owners will be more than happy to show you their dogs and answer any questions about the breed you may have.
Lastly, be sure to buy your Norwich from a reputable breeders who is a member of the NTCA and who performs all the clubs suggested health checks for the breed, which include hip x-rays, elbow examinations and eye health exams. The results of these tests can be found at "offa.Read more ›
For those interested in raising a Norwich puppy I think you will find all the information you are looking for in this book.
I was disappointed that it contained neither. The section on health is boilerplate, not specific to the Norwich at all. There is nothing at all on hand-stripping -- information on grooming is about brushing them regularly.
It's obvious these "kennel club" books are cranked out en masse, with the name of the breed replaced and very little that is breed-specific other than the standard and history.
I will not be keeping this book, as it has no value to me.

My mom got a Norwich puppy so I bought my mom a user manual for her new pup.
She said she liked the book.
Her puppy is a spazzy brat, but we still love the little turd.
Great tips, and great stories.
If you are so lucky that a Norwich is going to be in your life.. Buy it
I bought this for my mom becasue she has a Norwich. It's a bit of a snot though. It won't kiss her even though she really wants it to. It's kinda sad.Published on March 9, 2014 by Timothy M Lison
