Step 1 Open foil pouch and remove white inner pouch. (Do not open white pouch)	Step 2 Moisten the sponge and insert white inner pouch into the slit in the dampened sponge, then place into the clamshell container and securely close it.	Step 3 Close all car windows. Place the clamshell on flat stable surface near the center of the car, with the holes facing up. Close all car doors.	Step 4 After treatment is completed, open doors, windows and allow air conditioning to run.

I own a used car dealership and we've tried almost everything to get the "funk" out of some cars. Cigarette smell being the most difficult to remove. Our trial and error has brought us to this product and it works the best, hands down. What I found to work the best is leaving it in the car with the windows up for a full 24-48 hours, then, turn the AC on circulate for another hour or so with the windows up to fully get it through the system. An added bonus would be to change the air filter afterwards.

I bought this to treat a car that had been smoked in for many years. We couldn't get rid of the smoke smell even after cleaning multiple times over the past few years. This product has removed the smoke smell completely.

The instructions were pretty good. The product consists of a plastic container with holes where the agent can evaporate the fumes into the car. There is a small packet with the chemical and a sponge. The sponge has a slit. Wet the sponge first. Then insert the chemical packet into the sponge as directed by the instructions. Placing it in the plastic container. I placed it on my center console by the gear shift.
I also removed everything from my car, glove box, center console and trunk. I tilted the back seats open to expose about 1 foot opening to the trunk so it could be deodorized also. After about 8 hours, I opened up all the doors and let it air out of a few minutes. I then removed the odor eliminator and did 2 other vehicles with the same steps.

We also had a mildew order from the A/C. The product removed that smell, however, it is starting to return. I did a bit of research and found that that I need to also clean the air intake vents for the A/C and in my case Toyota Camry has a valve that can be used to clean out the A/C evaporator with a spray from Toyota. So there are other items to consider if you still have smell from the A/C vents.

Works just as advertised, used it in my 2014 pickup truck which I had smoked in for a year, I quit smoking and wanted to get rid of the smell, put it on the passenger side floor board for a little over 4 hours, then ran the air cond on high while it was still in the truck, let it run for 1/2 and hour then shut the truck off, opened the windows per instructions and left them open for 15 minutes, The cig odor was 95% gone and still is about a week later, Next time I would leave it in the car/truck for 6-8 hours and I'm sure 100% of smoke/musty smell would be gone, the cab is now fresh and clean smelling, 100% satisfied, great product.

Update: A few months after I initially used this product, had a faint tobacco smoke smell when defrost was used, I purchased another packet and ran it again, and this time, I ran the defrost cycle,air cond cycle, and all the settings on the heat ac on the vehicle for 10 minutes or so each, then left the package on the passenger floor mat for 5 hours after that and have zero smell in the vehicle now from smoke or anything else, great product, bought another for my son's car trunk that he carries golf clubs, workout clothes etc, left it in the carpeted trunk for 4 hours, and smells clean and fresh in there now. Great product, I will keep additional units on hand for other vehicles.

So my dad calls me and says, “Daughter, I’ve had enough of living in the desert. Fly to Las Vegas and drive my car and cats home to Florida.” I should have just pretended I didn’t speak English then, but I’m a sucker and then there I was boarding an airplane. Took the hubbie too, because I’m not doing that ridiculousness alone.

Problem one - We smoke but my dad doesn’t. He’s a former smoker and I’m here to tell you that this particular demographic, ex-smokers that is, are the worst kind for a smoker. They could smell a cigarette burning from 70 miles away in a hurricane. And there’s not a chance I’m driving across the majority of the US without a cigarette.

Problem two - cats poop and pee. I mean, it’s not their fault, they are alive, but those smells are just not pleasant in a small vehicle.

Enter this stuff! Once we arrived in Florida and unloaded the poopers, it was time to set this thing up. We followed the instructions and viola, NO MORE SMELLS! It was like I’d put an ozone machine in the car. To this day he marvels at how we came all that way without ever smoking in his car. It’ll be our secret.

I highly recommend this product because it does exactly what it says it does. Even better, there’s no smell when it’s done. I mean NO SMELL. It doesn’t smell like cat poop, cigarettes or air freshener. It’s just the wonderful smell of nothing.

This is a good product. I hated to give it 4 stars because there is one thing it could not conquer. Maybe no product does, but we purchased a used car last year that was owned by at least one constant smoker. the dealer treated it twice. We tried some products and they put a smell over the top but cigaret smell was mixed right in. This product was the most effective. It has made it bearable and gradually the smell is still getting fainter. It really is amazing that after 8 months when you open the door you get a whiff of cigaret smoke. It has calmed down with cold weather. We may try to treat it again now and see if that completely removes it as my husband is allergic to the smell. I do feel guilty about the 4 stars and I may come back and change it to 5. It is the tobacco that should get a 0 rating.

I think I got a dud. Followed the instructions but the reaction never occurred. Have used this product in the past so I know what the results should be and after 12 hours the car should smell like a pool. This application did not. I'd recommend just buying the stuff at O'reillys or something. Who knows how long these have been stored for and that stuff does go bad with age.
