The water comes into the filter much faster than it drains out, so that the filter overflows and there are coffee grounds everywhere. I have been turning it off a couple of times while it's brewing to allow the water to drain from the filter, and then turn it back on. Very disappointed. It's pretty, but it's not functional. - UPDATE . I bought some Melitta filters, and it works great now. I apologize for the first review. I was using "generic" filters. It works great and I like it.

I dislike giving a rating like this and this is probably the first time I've given a 1 star review.

I prefer using a French Press for my coffee so I've used this coffee maker about 10 times since I got it 2 months ago. It started with the microwave oven that I really liked the style of so I ended up buying about five different appliances to match everything in my kitchen. The coffee maker worked fine one day then the next day it makes noise like the water is getting hot but no water comes out into the coffee grounds. I tried calling Amazon and since I'm a month out of the warranty or whatever it is it's got a year warranty I can't return it and I'm stuck contacting the manufacturer.

I paid $80 for this coffee maker and I really expected some help from the people I bought it from to take care of this product warranty. I just got out of the hospital with having a hip replacement and I don't have time to go all over trying to return this thing. I'm very very disappointed. I will never buy another product from this company because the warranty is not being stood up by. When I did call the manufacturer I got a recording no one's return my call it's terrible. And I feel the people I bought it from 2 months ago should take care of this problem but that's not going to happen so I'm done with this I'll buy another coffee maker from Braun or somebody that makes a decent one for my $100. I recommend do not buy any products from this company.

Update: After contacting the manufacturer they are sending me a new one. It was very easy for me to take care of. I will not change my rating. I feel the vender should have taken care of this problem. All the vender did was give me a runaround and empty promises. They said they would call me back the next day and it never happened. This vender will never get a cent from me again. Recommend: DO NOT BUY!!!

It also comes with the instructions booklet so you can now how to maintain it while using. I am so eager to try this coffee maker its is very easy to clean as well. The lid shuts perfectly and it’s sits very well on the countertop. It has a little weight to it as I removed it out the box. It’s really worth the wait to get the coffee maker.

I like this unit a lot I love the color and for the most part it did a beautiful job making coffee. We did have a problem that's why we're replacing it all around the heating element the plastic self-destructed cracked as if it looked like it had been impacted but it had not been impacted and it did stop putting water through the unit to make the coffee we are quieted capable of fixing some things but this was not fixable we had to throw it away as I say this is my second one the one I'm ordering now is my replacement I'm sure I bought this unit at least a year or so ago. But all in all I'm very pleased with the unit the fact that itself destructed I don't have any answers for that.

Honestly, I bought this because it looks retro. My whole kitchen is retro and this coffee machine looks wonderful in it. I am pleasantly surprised that the quality of coffee is so good! Pretty cool for a pink coffee machine

I have always loved the Nostalgia products for that 1950 dinner look I like in my kitchen and loved my first purchase of red retro microwave some years back. Unfortunately living in Canada it’s hard to get them. This came the next day after ordering (though it said 2 days)😁🥰condition was excellent and well packaged. 4 days in and 4 pots a day with friends n family stopping in, and it works beautifully 🥰thankful for matching beautifully sleek retro coffee maker.

I love this coffee maker. I only gave it 4 stars because there’s 2 things I wish it had that it doesn’t. 1. I wish it had numbers on both sides of the coffee pot so right handed people (which is the majority of the population) could measure the water whilst holding it in their right hand.
2. I wish there was a little window in the machine that shows how much water is in it.
This, of course, doesn’t affect the coffee, or how well it works, but would be nice to have.
Other than those two minor things, it’s a great machine. I’m changing my kitchen to pink and white, and this is perfect.
