It's written the way Phil speaks, so it comes off as being candid and it doesn't gloss over the "ugly stuff" in Phil's life.
It's a long book and it covers everything on the time line...from Pre-Genesis to current.
I was thoroughly entertained.
The the only reason why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because in some spots the book moves a touch TOO fast.
I understand that it could have been 4,000 pages if great detail was paid to everything in his 60+ years...but I vividly remember passages where in 1 paragraph Phil describes recording an album and then going on tour...and then coming back to the UK to work on the next album! I would have liked a little more detail about the recording and/or the tour...just so I didnt feel like I was being rushed thru that segment.
Otherwise, it's a Must-Read for Phil's fans!
