This is the First book of Katherine Rhodes i have read and i liked her writing style <3
Morgan is our lead and she's smart and sassy as hell. She's going to school to one day hopefully become a judge. That's her professional side. Her personal side, she's a bartender at Club Imperial. One night her friend drags her to a different bar. One where her crush just happens to sing in his band.
She never thought Nick D. would notice her. She's not the typical stick thin groupie, yet he sees her. He's seen her for a while now, but never made a move. Their first interaction is embarrassing, however it's also the start of something amazing. Life's not that easy, though. Someone is stalking Morgan and not letting up.
This book was great. The character development was perfect, the story was evenly paced. It all flowed wonderfully. I loved Morgan and how she handled herself. Nick was a hot rocker, but was very down to earth. If you haven't read the series this was spun-off from, don't worry. You'll have no problem understanding everything that's going on. I can't wait for book two in the series.
Book received in exchange for an honest review.
Morgan is a beautiful full figured dare I say bbw. It was so refreshing to have her as a "plus size woman". I loved how she called her self fat not only as a joke but a defense mechanism, just like I do. She works at the courthouse, goes to school, and bartender at the local BDSM club. She has a slight kinky side. She also has a thing going on with the local band Silver Soul. Nick D is a lead singer by night and a doctor by day. He has had a crush on Morgan for a few months now and has finally acted upon it. He will let nothing get in their was especially each other's past bagagae. As they are in the honeymoon stages of their relationship a stalker, and a band mate could implode the whole thing.
Morgan is very related, funny , and my favorite character.
I thought Morgan was a great character. She was funny, and strong, and an awesome friend. She really caught my attention and had me wanting to find out her back story and more about her.
Nick was amazing and I thought he was exactly what she needed and I enjoyed the many sides of him.
They have off the charts chemistry and great story to go with them. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more
