Abel is opposite of Tom in every way- fun loving, care free, and a lusty, hot blooded male. The chemistry is off the charts between he and Amy. They try to fight it, but after a couple of days they give in to their passion.
Tom finds out about the tryst after watching surveillance video he has from cameras all over the office. He is devastated as he's always lusted after Amy himself and has always had feelings towards Abel. Abel makes Tom confront his feelings and after a meeting with all three of them, they dive into what they were craving.
This is a very short novella. There is not much character building or plot-it's just intended to be a quickie as they say! And boy oh boy! The sizzling meter was off the charts throughout this one! Definitely a well written book when it came to the sexy scenes! I loved how Abel was the catalyst for both Amy and Tom to realize they had something neither realized was there. Abel brought that out and it worked.
The only caveat was the ending. It was rather abrupt and left you wanting to know how it came about. I think it needed to have been expanded just a smidge and I would've been a happy camper! I did love the story, however, and it's a great choice when you want something quick and spicy!
4 Stars/4 Flames
This book was gifted to me for an honest review. The review and ratings are solely my opinions.
Hartford is a class A jerk to work for and of course he calls in his executive admin to work on a weekend to show the new CFO around. Abel and Hartford go way back and he knows what a tubesteak he can be. So, first thing when Amy gets on the elevator with Abel he starts in on her and these two just about burn down the building. His desk, the chair, the floor, I lost track seriously. But they were romantic too. Abel knows what to whisper to Amy in her ear. Amy has never experienced anything like Abel before.
Amy goes to work Monday morning and summoned by Mr Hartman who begins to pick apart the whole scenario starting with the elevator, which he only removed her very uncomfortable shoes, but Hartford is dissecting each and every moment. It's then Amy realizes he's got the office wired for video. She never realized it. As he's watching the video, he turns his laptop to her and is shaking with something between rage and jealousy maybe. Tough call. His last words to her were you're fired.
When Abel goes to visit Amy that evening after they christen every surface in the house she tells him what happened and they discuss Hartford's sexuality. Abel guesses that maybe Hartford wants to watch so they decide to set something up.... and that's where I am leaving this review, because I have said enough and the rest would be spoilers.
Just know that this sweet little Novella is hot as hell and Charlotte you rock! That was amazing and the writing was perfection.

Amy Elliot has been a personal assistant to Thomas Hartford for a long time and knows him as a stiff, unyielding, follow the rules at all times, man. He has hired an old friend of his, Abel Hernandez, as his new CFO of Hartford Industries. It will be Amy’s job to help Abel to acclimate to his new surroundings.
Abel is everything Tom Hartford is not, uninhibited, passionate, fun loving. And it takes all of two days for the chemistry to win between them. But there is something or rather, someone, that always seems to be there with them in thought, Tom Hartford.
“She wondered if this was all they were: two people drawn together because of some third person they couldn’t have.”
Tom is devastated when he learns of Abel and Amy’s relationship. He has secretly always wanted Amy and has also always harbored feelings for Abel. It is Abel who finally instigates a meeting between the three of them, finally forcing Tom to give in to what he has been craving for so long.
“All of his restraint was gone, all of his aloofness had disappeared, and she was responsible. Or at least, partly responsible.”
There was a lot I really liked about this very short story, but also some things that didn’t work as well for me. First, the hotness factor was through the roof. Abel somehow finds a way to open up a part of both Tom and Amy that was there all along, they just didn’t realize it at all. And Amy truly cared for both Abel and Tom, was falling in love with them actually.
What I didn’t like was that first, I found the conversation a little hard to follow at times. In the previous book I read by Charlotte, I loved her lyrical writing style. In this, I was just a little confused at times. There was a statement at the end regarding Tom that really confused me. And the ending was very abrupt. I felt like the whole thing just stopped right in the middle of everything.
I did enjoy this and as I said, it was hot as heck. I just felt that there were other factors that were lacking just a bit.
“They weren’t two and one at all. They were a perfect three.”
