Bored senseless in a meeting, Jon McNeill amuses himself with a kinky dating app on his phone. Then the app matches him with another user... who’s six feet away. Suddenly, Jon finds himself on the same page as someone who’s way above his pay grade: millionaire property developer Rick Pierce.

The app isn’t kidding, either. They’re a perfect match. Jon’s a dom, Rick’s a sub, and they both love bondage. Both guys are well into their 40s, know their way around the bedroom, and definitely appreciate a good suit. And the best part? They’re a match outside the bedroom too.

But office relationships aren’t easy to keep a secret. When the truth comes out, Jon is certain he’s about to get fired. Instead, he finds himself tangled up in a much bigger mess.

Contains two men who’ve only dreamed of this kind of sex, literal and figurative sex machines, blindfolds, a sub being punished during a business meeting, enough rope to tangle up a millionaire, and a Golden Girls marathon.

I don't normally leave reviews on Amazon, or anywhere, because I'm awful at this, but I couldn't let this go without saying thank goodness for an author that not only isn't afraid to make their protags men in their forties, but also to address the issues of joint pain. Come on. If your sub is on his knees for half an hour, there will be popping and pain when they finally stand up. A refreshing bit of realism.
That said, I really enjoyed the care taken with writing D/s as it's meant to be, with clear and loving intent. You don't find that often these days, and I enjoyed the confidence in their lives and their place in life the protags have.
One last thing that completely blew my mind and shouldn't have--finally, a m/m romance novel that doesn't treat female characters as flat props and showpieces. Karen is lovely and I appreciate her and Jon having an actual healthy, friendly relationship despite a divorce. All in all, great play scenes, great sex scenes, great characters, and a fun ride from start to finish. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a novel that really shows what a loving D/s relationship can be, and what a healthy adult relationship looks like in general.

Jon was not the type of Dom I've read in other BDSM books. He enjoyed domination but it wasn't a whole lifestyle for him. He also wasn't a sadist. The kink very very mild in this story, IMO. I'm not into the scene, I just read it occasionally. So other opinions may differ. The rest of the story was good. It did drag in some places. I got rather bored with the work details. I think the dynamic of his workplace and impacts of long hours could have been conveyed more succinctly. Some was necessary to set up the issue that led to the hard part of the book. But that did take it down a star.

Rick wasn't as fully fleshed out as he could have been. The first-person POV didn't provide the connection I wanted. There wasn't enough to figure out why he couldn't provide a better solution to Jon's situation. I did think Jon's reactions were realistic, although they were kind of knee-jerk. He was worried for his coworkers. It suited his character as the caretaker type who needed to provide for everyone's needs. His reaction was also logical for a Dom personality, who was not in control of the situation. So, I understand his commitment to his kids education. He was also taking care of his ex-wife, who was supportive of him, while offering good advice. Did I think he should have handled it differently to start with? Yes, but it was only a few days and he didn't drag it out into martyrdom status.

The niggles didn't make me like the book less. I would have liked a little more kink, but that's just me. Some of the authors best books were the Market Garden series. I think her co-author, Alexander Voinov, might have been the kinkier one! LA Witt will still remain a go-to author for me.

Jon is drooling over his client Rick and when he suddenly pops up on his dating app things start to happen.......

I liked this book because it was a good storyline and there was a lot of emotions. A bonus was that this was two grown up man and the drama was minimal.

The characters was well described and I thought Jon and Rick was portrayed as responsible adults, maybe because of that this was a easy read.

At times I thought there was a tiny bit to much descriptions of the work Jon was doing and his thoughts but not so much that it was annoying.

The love scenes was hot and sweet but also kinky, and I really enjoyed it.

If you like a little kinky m/m adult content this is a great story. 5 ✨

Angst driven novel! Sexy steamy BSSM at times! Honestly though speed read that last quarter of the book as it was getting too detailed & the angst was out of control! I get it I really do I love these forbidden love stories, but at some point your like okay stop throwing every curve ball at them especially when we are 93% of the way though the book lets get it finished we what an HEA not rushed into the end than make it super cheesy wrap up in the epilogue!! Glad I read it yes, will I read more of this series or author probably not if this is his constant format!

I am not so fan of D/s books because some scenes are a trigger for me, but this one caught my attention with the blurb and I could avoid reading it. And… wow! The book didn’t disappoint! The BSDM parts are kinky and some times intense but the author include a lot of respect and safety in each one of them and managead them in a very knowledgeable way so they were really easy to read and even sweet because the care of Jon as a Dom. The plot was very interesting and some of the twists were unique so I got glued to my seat all the time. So wonderful!!

I *loved* the premise of this book when I saw it - a guy, bored at a meeting, sees that he's a kinky match to someone in the same room - someone who is a rich, important client. Better yet, the guy who's a more or less lowly modeler is the Dom, and the important client is the sub. Fun, fun!

These guys are both in their early/mid 40's, and they've been around the block enough to know what they want and need. They're a fantastic match from the start, and not only burn up the sheets (or wherever), but have a caring relationship that continues to deepen.

Where this fell apart for me a bit was the work drama. I'm not a big fan of angst, anyway, and I just didn't really care about workplace drama, even though it was the obvious choice of conflict, based on the premise.

That being said, they were super HOT together, and the story was well-written. Still a 4-star read for me.

One of the best kinky books I've read. The relationship outside the kink was healthy which isn't always the case in kinky books. Loved both main characters and really enjoyed reading the story from the point of view of the Dom which is rare in D/s books

Not going to lie, LA Witt is a 1-click author for me, so I jumped on the chance to get this book during a recent freebie. Not disappointed in the least.
I felt the emotions along with these characters, and thought everything worked out the way it should have. I loved the relationship with Jon's ex-wife, and wish all divorces could be that way.
My only issue? I'm a sucker for the term "Sir" and that wasn't part of the D/s relationship in this book. Every other element was there, just not that magic word. That's purely personal taste though, and didn't detract from the story in any way.
