A bunch of short stories about her life, every short story/diary entry will make you smile.
A feel good book!
I loved how the kid negotiated to be paid for being in the book; then wanted to be mentioned more than his brother to make more money. Ha! The unicorn story was over the top!
Kristie Noojin-Barnett did a great job of drawing me in from the beginning, and held my attention until the end. She used many different writing styles throughout; kept me on my toes.
I’d recommend to parents in particular who need a good laugh.
The author is contemporarily relevant as well. I lived up north most of my life, but I'm in Louisiana now. I say New Orleans with midwest diction. My cousins called me a Yankee for that. They say 'Nawlins'. I just found out the new name is Nola, so I understood what was said.
Overall it was a nice narrative. It just needs slight editing and it would be perfect. When you finally finish your sculpture, you should have someone polish it.
