Since this is a memoir you are hearing one side of a story but Wright is not shy about repeating criticisms of others about her actions. She also bares herself open as she replays haunting moments at the climax as she begins to become unhinged. While the story of her failing marriage, while insightful and well told, is all too common the story of her battle to leave the Jehovah's Witnesses is worth the price of the book by itself. My primary criticism is the opening remembrance of events when she was 3 1/2 seemed too convenient. I bring it up because I was tempted to put the book aside at that point but I am glad I didn't!
A great read; a wonderful woman of strength.
