This album has two good tracks and two ONLY! They are Sia's "Titanium" and her "She Wolf" track. David Guetta is essentially a glorified DJ who takes the music created by other real ARTISTS and runs it through his little mixer board to the delight of droves brain-dead youth who just need to "feel the BEAT!" He has a whole series of "F*** Me I'm Famous" albums that I don't think are available here on Amazon or that he even want's to TALK about these days. He is the quintessential, talent-free POSER making a living standing on the shoulders of others. Buy this piece of 95% dreck if you will but you'd be better off getting Sia's tracks from the Apple Store or anywhere ELSE you can!

I should have downloaded the song I liked instead of buying the CD. His original songs were awful, I quess he is only a one hit wonder.

One Love rocked.... it was a great balance of pop, techno, dance and had really nice variety from track to track so it was fun to listen to. For Nothing but the Beat, there seems to be a conscious decision to use the same formula for every track - it gets stale - very quickly. Without You (feat. Usher) is nice. But imo, there is a complete sell to poppy/trashy lyrics "atypical": Where Them Girls At, Night of your Life, I'm a Machine, I Just Wanna F. type of songs that unless you're 18 and hot to chase tail, this isn't an album for you. Bummer because One Love was such a great work to release crap like this right after is a lost opportunity.

Really disappointed with this album. Like some other reviewers on here I ended up skipping most of the tracks as they are all commercial pop tunes. Was hoping for some tracks I didn't recognise but seems he has released them all! Won't be heading to a David Guetta gig ever probably - too commercial for me, sorry!

After a really solid outing with his 2009 album, One Love, that thrust him on to the scene, David Guetta is back with Nothing But The Beat. In my opinion, this album was a huge letdown. Instead of great house and dance music, Guetta gave us hip-pop with auto-tuning. I don't know if he is trying to make an inroad with the hip-pop community, but he would have been better served sticking to the music that got him noticed in the first place. The album is a 2 disc edition, with the first disc being songs with artists like Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj and others. Really, if you're auto-tuning 2 great singers like Usher and Jennifer Hudson, you're doing something wrong. The second cd is made up of instrumentals, 2 of which have other DJs, Lunar feat Afrojack and Sunshine feat Avicii (which is the best track on the album). If you're a fan of Guetta's previous albums, you'll probably be really disappointed with this outing, but if you like commercial hip-pop, then this might be for you. Me? I'm glad I got a free copy as it's coming out of rotation.

David Guetta had a massive album with his previous, 'OneLove', which was a great album, the perfect balance of dance and house. Now the success must have gone to his head because 'Nothing but the Beat' is more pop than house and is total sell out of his roots. I did not expect this CD to match 'OneLove' and to be honest did expect it could very well be too popish. Sure enough it is. Those of you who enjoy really catchy and poppy tracks will like this, but true house and EDM fans will not. Even the 2nd CD which is supposed to be only instrumentals and more house based is a let down. Give it a try but don't have high expectations.
