Running from a previous life, and a demented ex-boyfriend, Violet finally turns her life around while working for Grayson. She maintains a low profile to protect herself. After 6 years of working for Grayson, she finally has had enough and hands in her resignation. Grayson has an obsessive nature once he notices you. He has finally noticed Violet and he begins to stalk her, to win her over. His tactics are insane and at times I was “hell no”. Ms Webster has a way of making you fall in love with these crazy unhinged nuts. (At times I question my own sanity) Ms Webster has woven a tale full of misfits, with darkness surrounding them. There are situations that are horrendous and uncomfortable. The book is challenging and not for the feint at heart. If you are a fan of Ms Webster you know you are in for one heck of a ride, with loads of chilling moments and a conclusion you will not see coming.
Reviewed for Hot books and Sassy Girls book blog
Knowing that it's a stalker book, I'm ignoring the insta-lust/love element, that's pretty much a given. It's still super hot, brings up a mental issue I haven't seen addressed before, and there is the mystery of the chest. It got just a little slow in the middle but picked right up and then the epilogue was a doozy - no cliffhanger though but maybe an opportunity for a new character's story???
In "Notice" you're introduced to a love that at times is sick & perverted but at the same time wonderful, amazing and all consuming & life fulfilling. It will make your stomack twist. It will make you question your own sanity and your morals. You might put it down a few times, but you'll want to pick it back up because you have to know how the story ends. You'll accept the fact that you yourself are sick and twisted and through it all you'll love every second of it. And not only that but you'll want more. It'll make you fall in love with a stalker and make you wish you had one of your own. And while Notice is a standalone book, the end might not crack the door open for a possible continuation of the story, but it does make you wish for one
Take the warning at the start of the book seriously. It is dark, edgy & unusual romance, with dark themes and super obsesive stalker. If that is not your thing, then don't read this book. But if you find all those things at least a little bit interesting, if you're not scared away by it, and if it peaks your curiosity even a little, then this is the book for you. Enjoy and welcome to the sick SOB club
This story is a definite re-read for me. Multiple re-reads. No doubt about it!
Loved this book I wanted more of Violet and Gray! Yes he is a stalker and they both have huge issues and her ex is a wicked f'ed up whackadoodle, but t all works. I loved the stuff about his mom and sister and their hoarding and his crazy insane devotion to Violet and wanting her and wanting to keep her safe. I love that she got mad when she should but that she just didn't freak out and run away like the woman does is so many books. Thy get married have kids and the stuff about their son Thomas at the end was very cool.
Love these two and would love to read more about them.
