"Nourishing the Spoil" is the follow up to their 2006 release "Reek of Pubescent Despoilment" - and like that release, this one is straight up brutal. Melodic at some points, technical, brutal sounding, and just some of the nastiest gutturals you'll ever hear. The guitars are spot on, the bass is audible and mixed very well, and the drums are perfect in rhythm. The artwork is nasty like it should be, and the sound and production overall is perfect for what this album is going for. Very good album. Highly recommended.

This is Guttural Secrete's second album. Everything about this album is the perfect example of why Brutal death metal is such a promising genre in the metal scene. The songs are Fast, aggressive and nasty. The production is perfect for this music with bombastic drums, grinding guitars, audible, warm bass, and inhumanly growled vocals. One thing I would like to point out is there are certain points on the record when the music takes a melodic approach. That was an unexpected but awesome change and really made this album stand out for me. Any fan of death metal should really give this a try. It is well worth your time. I loved it and it's a 5 star album for me.
