I’ve been using Xylitol Pure as a sugar substitute, and overall, it’s been a good experience. The taste is almost identical to sugar, without the aftertaste you get from some other sweeteners.

One thing to note, though: Xylitol can have a laxative effect if you use too much of it. I noticed this after having a few servings in a day. As long as I use it in moderation, it’s fine, but it’s definitely something to be aware of.

I do appreciate that it’s derived from non-GMO corn and contains no fillers or artificial ingredients. The texture is just like regular sugar, and it dissolves well in drinks and recipes. I have just begun using xylitol for oral health. Right now, I'm only using it as an after meal 'chaser', so not ingesting much at all. I was well aware of possible GI upset/laxative effect, but I'm using so little it makes no difference. I like that it tastes very similar to table sugar (sucrose) with no aftertaste that I can detect. The crystals dissolve fully and quickly. I was very happy with the fast shipping, package arrived intact and sealed well with tear open top and zip closure. I have purchased NOW Foods in the past and I continue to be pleased with their products.

Good for a xylitol product. The granules are large, but I only use it in hot liquid where it's going to dissolve anyway.

Word of caution: You probably don't want to have the 2.5lb bag shipped with other products, given that it's kind of heavy. My most recent purchase of it arrived with the bag punctured and leaking granules, I think due to something else that came in the box that had a sharp corner. This same product is sold at my local health food store for a few bucks more, but I might buy it there in future just for peace of mind.
